He performed his song " Bo Diddley " with Eric Clapton, Robbie Robertson, and longtime bassist and musical director Debby Hastings at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 20th annual induction ceremony and in the UK, Uncut magazine included his 1957 debut album " Bo Diddley " in its listing of the ' 100 Music, Movie & TV Moments That Have Changed The World '.

At the end of the year Lindsay-Hogg again collaborated with the Stones on their most ambitious project to date, the feature-length performance film The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, which also featured John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Eric Clapton and rising UK band Jethro Tull, but unfortunately the film was not released until 1996 because the group at the time felt that their own performances had been below par.

The only album solely credited to the Plastic Ono Band, Live Peace in Toronto 1969, was recorded during the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival on September 13 that year and featured Eric Clapton on lead guitar, Klaus Voorman on bass ( an old friend of Lennon's from Germany, who was famous for the cover art of the Beatles ' Revolver album ), and Alan White ( later of Yes ) on drums.

The music continued throughout the evening with an electric atmosphere culminating in a sing-a-long finale with Jools Holland and Eric Clapton playing Shake, Rattle and Roll accompanied by many of the artists who had performed throughout the day ( who all waived their usual fees ).

Just after the album The Beatles came out in late 1968, Lennon performed " Yer Blues " at The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus with a supergroup dubbed the " The Dirty Mac ", consisting of himself, Eric Clapton on lead guitar, Keith Richards on bass, and Mitch Mitchell on drums.
