Anthony ( Dresden, 27 December 1755 – Dresden, 6 June 1836 ), also known by his German name Anton ( full name: Anton Clemens Theodor Maria Joseph Johann Evangelista Johann Nepomuk Franz Xavier Aloys Januar ), was a King of Saxony ( 1827 – 1836 ) from the House of Wettin.

In Western culture, a concept similar to that of prana can be traced back as far as the 18th century's Franz Anton Mesmer, who used " animal magnetism " to cure disease.

Other composers that have written concertos from this period include Johann Baptist Vanhal, Franz Anton Hoffmeister ( 3 concertos ), Leopold Kozeluch, Anton Zimmermann, Antonio Capuzzi, Wenzel Pichl ( 2 concertos ), and Johannes Matthias Sperger ( 18 concertos ).

According to Franz Anton Knittel Erasmus in his Novum Instrumentum omne did not incorporate the Comma from Codex Montfortianus, because of grammar differences, but used Complutensian Polyglotta.

The premiere was held in Vienna on 15 June 1938, with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra under Oswald Kabasta: the soloists were Rudolf Gerlach ( John ), Erika Rokyta, Enid Szantho, Anton Dermota, Josef von Manowarda and with Franz Schütz at the organ.

Franz Anton Mesmer ( May 23, 1734 – March 5, 1815 ) sometimes incorrectly referred to as Friedrich Anton Mesmer, was a German physician with an interest in astronomy, who theorised that there was a natural energetic transference that occurred between all animated and inanimate objects that he called magnétisme animal ( animal magnetism ) and other spiritual forces often grouped together as mesmerism.

Franz Anton Mesmer held that trance and healing were the result of the channelling of a mysterious " occult " force called " animal magnetism ".

Weber was born in Eutin, Holstein, the eldest of the three children of Franz Anton von Weber and his second wife, Genovefa Brenner, a Viennese singer.

The " von " was an affectation ; Franz Anton von Weber was not actual aristocracy.

Franz Anton began his career as a military officer in the service of the Duchy of Holstein, and after being fired, went on to hold a number of musical directorships.

In 1787 Franz Anton went on to Hamburg where he founded a theatrical company.

A gifted violinist, Franz Anton had ambitions of turning Carl into a child prodigy like Franz's nephew-by-marriage, Mozart.

Furthermore, Weber's father Franz Anton misappropriated a vast quantity of Duke Ludwig's money.

Franz Anton and Carl were charged with embezzlement and arrested on 9 February 1810.

Beethoven himself apparently did not rate this work particularly highly, remarking to the publisher Franz Anton Hoffmeister that, along with the Piano Concerto No. 1, it was " not one of my best.
