A single trim level, GLS, is available in the United States for the sedan.

In the United States, the new generation is offered in GLS, SE, and Limited versions.

During its lifetime it formed the basis for the more powerful Sunbeam Rapier H120, introduced in October 1968 and identifiable by its boot-lid spoiler and polished sill covers: it shared its Holbay Engineering-tuned 110 bhp engine ( with twin Weber carburettors ) with the Hillman Hunter GLS.

There was a increase in the amount of sound insulation, especially in GLS and higher models making the cavalier an enviably quiet place to do business.

The twin carburettor engined " Hillman Hunter GT " eventually replaced the Hillman GT, and the Holbay-engined GLS was positioned at the top of the range.

The sportiest Sunbeam was the Rapier H120 model, though this shared its specially tuned Holbay engine with the Hillman Hunter GLS.

The Hillman Hunter was rebranded as the Chrysler Hunter for the UK market in September 1977, receiving at the same time a four headlight frontal treatment similar to that of the Hunter GLS model and the Humber Sceptre.

The Logus was launched in March 1993 with four versions: CL 1. 6, CL 1. 8, GL 1. 8 and GLS 1. 8.

The Hillman Avenger name was not used, instead the cars were simply badged as Sunbeam and the engine size and trim level ( e. g. Sunbeam 1600 GLS ).

Todd's updated its Avenger line in 1977 with the Simca-style front end and dashboard and new tail lights, and added a luxury GLS version, similar to the UK model, in place of the earlier Alpine while the range was rebranded ' Chrysler Avenger '.

Early GLS models could be ordered with the 3. 8L instead of the standard ( for GLS ) 3. 5 L, but later on the 3. 8 L was phased out and the 3. 5 L became standard on all models.

In North America the Accent was available in GL, GLS and GT trim levels only, with the 1. 5-litre engine at first, then the 1. 6-litre engine from 2002.
