* 1478 – The Pazzi attack Lorenzo de ' Medici and kill his brother Giuliano during High Mass in the Duomo of Florence.

* According to culinary writer Giuliano Bugialli, the term comes from the Italian bagno maria, named after Maria de ' Cleofa, who developed the technique in Florence in the sixteenth century.

Another often-reproduced drawing is a macabre sketch that was done by Leonardo in Florence in 1479 showing the body of Bernardo Baroncelli, hanged in connection with the murder of Giuliano, brother of Lorenzo de ' Medici, in the Pazzi Conspiracy.

Two wall-tombs intended for the brothers Giuliano and Lorenzo de ' Medici are found within the entry chambers of the tombs.

Machiavelli's literary executor, Giuliano de ' Ricci, also reported having seen that Machiavelli, his grandfather, made a comedy in the style of Aristophanes which included living Florentines as characters, and to be titled Le Maschere.

In his territorial aggrandizement of the Papal States, Sixtus IV's niece's son Cardinal Raffaele Riario, for whom the Palazzo della Cancelleria was constructed, was a leader in the failed " Pazzi conspiracy " of 1478 to assassinate both Lorenzo de ' Medici and his brother Giuliano and replace them in Florence with Sixtus IV's other nephew, Girolamo Riario.

It was purchased by the Signoria of Florence from his heirs Lorenzo and Giuliano de ' Medici in 1476 and is now at the Bargello in Florence.

They are linked to the " Pazzi conspiracy "— to assassinate Giuliano de ' Medici and simultaneously attempt murder of his brother, Lorenzo de ' Medici on 26 April 1478.

There was a conspiracy in 1478 to kill Lorenzo with his brother Giuliano during Easter services, the assassination attempt ending with the death of Giuliano and an injured Lorenzo ( later Giuliano and Lorenzo were buried together in the Medici Chapel ).

Salviati and Francesco de ' Pazzi put together a plan to assassinate Lorenzo and Giuliano de ' Medici.

Giuliano de ' Medici was stabbed 19 times by Bernardo Bandi and Francesco de ' Pazzi.

Coming from modest beginnings in Savona, Liguria, the family rose to prominence through nepotism and ambitious marriages arranged by two Della Rovere popes, Francesco della Rovere, who ruled as Pope Sixtus IV ( 1471 – 1484 ) and his nephew Giuliano ( Pope Julius II, 1503 – 1513 ).

In A Pistol for Ringo a traditional sheriff commissions a money-oriented hero – played by Giuliano Gemma with more pleasing manners than the Eastwood character but just as devious and deadly – to ( typically ) infiltrate a gang of Mexican bandits whose leader is played by ( typically ) Fernando Sancho.

Giuliano Gemma starred in a series of successful films carrying this theme – Adiós gringo, For a Few Extra Dollars, I lunghi giorni della vendetta, Wanted, and to some extent Blood for a Silver Dollar – where most often his character is called " Gary ".

The largest item from Italy is the Chancel Chapel from Santa Chiara Florence dated 1493 – 1500, designed by Giuliano da Sangallo it is 11. 1 metres in height by 5. 4 metres square, it includes a grand sculpted tabernacle by Antonio Rossellino and coloured terracotta decoration.

The main seat of the family, at canto Pazzi, where Borgo degli Albizi crosses the via del Proconsolo was rebuilt 1462 – 72 for Jacopo de ' Pazzi to designs by Giuliano da Maiano, the sculptor-architect favored by the family.
