Broken Bow was mentioned in the movie Gordy, with a glimpse of the ' Broken Bow ' stockyards which was completely fabricated to make the community look like a ghost town.

Lamont Dozier commented in 2008, " The lawsuit was just our way of taking care of business that needed to be taken care of — just like Berry Gordy had to take care of his business which resulted in the lawsuit.

Gordy was brought up in a tight-knit family with strong morals.

The store was unsuccessful and Gordy sought work at the plant, but his family connections put him in touch with Al Green ( not the singer ), owner of the Flame Show Bar talent club, where he met singer, Jackie Wilson.

In 1959, at Miracles leader Smokey Robinson's encouragement, Gordy borrowed $ 800 from his family to create R & B label Tamla Records.

The family of Frank Gordy, proprietor of The Varsity, owned much of the land, and the part where the one-building Chattahoochee Tech campus now sits was donated to the county, which in turn provided the land for the state technical college.

The Gordy family gave part of their land to Cobb County for what is now the Mountain View campus of Chattahoochee Technical College and the Mountain View Aquatics Center, the rest was sold in the 1990s for upscale tract housing and strip malls.
