Gulliver Schools is a group of private co-educational schools.

The academic programs at Gulliver Schools take students from the first years of essential learning to signature programs, opportunities for honors, IB, and AP work, and extracurricular experiences.

Sixty percent of Gulliver Schools administrators and 50 percent of Gulliver teachers hold advanced degrees.

In the original, Gulliver is stranded in a country dominated by civilised horses, the Houyhnhnms, finds them much superior to humans, and identifies European humans with the degenerate " Yahoos " which the Houyhnhnms in his view justifiably dominate.

A further example is the Russian word for " head ", golová, which sounds similar to Gulliver known from " Gulliver ’ s travels ".

Book IV of Gulliver's Travels is the keystone, in some ways, of the entire work, and critics have traditionally responded to the subject of whether Gulliver is insane ( and therefore just another victim of Swift's satire ) or not by questioning whether or not the Houyhnhnms are truly admirable.

Gulliver loves the land and is obedient to a race that is not like his own.

In the shipping lanes he is rescued by a Portuguese sea captain, a level-headed individual albeit full of concern for others, whose temperament at one level looks like a medium between that of the calm, rational Houyhnhnms of Houyhnhnmland and the norm of corrupt, European humanity, which Gulliver no longer distinguishes from Houyhnhnmland's wild Yahoos.

Gulliver is returned to his English home and family, finds their smell and look intolerable and all his countrymen no better than " Yahoos ," purchases and converses with two stabled horses, tolerating the stable boy, and assures the reader of his account's utter veracity.

The captain who invites Gulliver to serve as a surgeon aboard his ship on the disastrous third voyage is named Robinson.

The setting of her involvement with the League begins with her divorce from Charles after he is caught in the act in a brothel kept by former League member Amber St. Clare, and is shown to have been sexually involved with both Gulliver and Captain Clegg nearly 40 years before the second League was founded.

It is also the only paper in the United States to utilize the Gulliver font, which is used for both headlines and stories.

After The Three Worlds of Gulliver ( 1960 ) and Mysterious Island ( 1961 ), both great artistic and technical successes, his next film is considered by film historians and fans as Harryhausen's masterwork, Jason and the Argonauts ( 1963 ).

He is assisted by a first minister ( who carries a white staff ) and several other officials ( who later bring articles of impeachment against Gulliver on grounds of treason ): the galbet or high admiral, Skyresh Bolgolam ; the lord high treasurer, Flimnap ; the general, Limnoc ; the chamberlain, Lalcom ; and the grand justiciary, Balmuff.

In the novel, Gulliver washes up on the shore of Lilliput and is captured by the inhabitants while asleep.

Gulliver is, after further adventures, condemned as a traitor by the Council of Lilliput, and condemned to be blinded ; he escapes his punishment by fleeing to Blefuscu.

( This contradicts Swift's account, in which the Emperor is only 28 years old and has reigned about seven years when Gulliver arrives in 1699.

Lemuel Gulliver visits the land after the ship on which he is travelling is blown off course and he is separated from a party exploring the unknown land.

In the book Gulliver describes how the ship reached a latitude of five degrees south, northward of Madagascar before it is blown by strong winds " a little to the east of the Molucca Islands, and about three degrees northwards of the line ".

In Regal ( Hastings ) Ltd v Gulliver All ER 378 the House of Lords, in upholding what was regarded as a wholly unmeritorious claim by the shareholders, held that:

While surviving works of these periods such as Francis Barlow's A True Narrative of the Horrid Hellish Popish Plot ( c. 1682 ) as well as The Punishments of Lemuel Gulliver and A Rake's Progress by William Hogarth ( 1726 ), can be seen to establish a narrative over a number of images, it wasn't until the 19th century that the elements of such works began to crystallise into the comic strip.

Four other Hanna-Barbera series ( originally unrelated to The Banana Splits, apart from having been produced by the same studio ) were folded into the syndicated series as well: Atom Ant ( 26 half-hours, also featuring Precious Pupp and the aforementioned Hillbilly Bears ), Secret Squirrel ( 26 half-hours, also featuring Squiddly Diddly and Winsome Witch ), The Adventures of Gulliver ( 17 half-hours ), as well as The New Adventures of Huckleberry Finn ( 20 half-hours, originally seen in prime time and here introduced as The Adventures Of Huck Finn ) which combined live action with animation.

Lemuel Gulliver is the protagonist and narrator of Gulliver's Travels, a novel written by Jonathan Swift, first published in 1726.

* In the 2007 comic The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Black Dossier by Alan Moore, Gulliver is the leader of the second incarnation of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in the 18th century, which then consists of The Scarlet Pimpernel and his wife Lady Blakeney, Fanny Hill ( with whom Gulliver has been romantically involved ), Dr Syn aka The Scarecrow, Nathaniel Bumppo and Orlando.
