Statues of legendary Green Lantern Corps members, including Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Arisia, and Ch ' p, line the hall where the Guardians formerly met.

The decision of the Corps to execute Sinestro resulted in the activation of a previously unknown fail-safe that depowered the rings of every Green Lantern except for Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, Gnort, and Ch ' p.

The Guardians eventually returned to Oa and began the reconstruction of the Corps, assigning Guy Gardner to Earth, John Stewart to the Mosaic World, and Hal Jordan to recruit new members.

They were eventually found and rescued by the resurrected Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner.

However, Hal, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, and Killowog have a measure of resistance, due to their previous experience with fear.

Hal takes the Sinestro Corps ring, Guy takes the Red Lantern ring, John takes the Indigo Tribe ring, and Kyle takes the Blue Lantern ring.

Hal, John, Guy and Kyle go to the Central Power Battery to remove Parallax and restore the Corps to normal.

This allows Hal and Guy to escape from Krona's forces and re-group with John and Kyle.

The four Lanterns and Ganthet go to the Battery, where Hal wields the Agent Orange ring while Guy wields the Star Sapphire ring.

Hal, John, Kyle and Ganthet fight the brainwashed Lanterns while Guy removes Parallax from the Battery, restoring the Corps.

With the impurity removed, Hal, John, Kyle and Guy recover their Green Lantern rings and join the Corps in the final battle against Krona and the entity-possessed Guardians.

While the primary Lanterns of Sector 2814 are Hal Jordan and John Stewart, Kyle Rayner and Guy Gardner call Earth home, but are stationed on Oa, first as teachers, and then specially assigned to cases that are too difficult for the average lantern.

With the yellow impurity returned to the green light, all of the Green Lanterns even the experienced wielders, with the apparent exception of Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart, Kilowog and Guy Gardner, are placed under Krona's control, the Alpha Lanterns are affected by the yellow impurity which made them enter into some kind of hibernation.

Green Lantern Guy Gardner once experienced an extended and tortuous stay after an explosion of a Green Lantern Power Battery sent him there, until rescued by Superman and Green Lantern Hal Jordan who had believed him to be dead all that time.

Gass has had small parts in many of Black's films ( Year One, Kung Fu Panda, Shallow Hal, Saving Silverman, The Cable Guy, etc .).

Additionally, John Stewart -- an African American Green Lantern who had previously worked with the League in the comics -- was used rather than one of the better-known modern-era Green Lanterns: Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner or Kyle Rayner ( even though Rayner had appeared as Green Lantern in the Superman animated series ).

Adam Strange, Aquaman, The Atom, Batman, Black Canary, Black Lightning, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Captain Marvel, Deadman, Doctor Fate, Fire, Firestorm, Flash, Green Arrow, The Green Lantern Corps, Guy Gardner, Hal Jordan, Jonah Hex, Kamandi, Katana, Huntress, Metamorpho, Red Tornado, Plastic Man, Hawk and Dove, The Question, Bat-Mite, OMAC, Vixen, Jay Garrick, Bronze Tiger, Hawkman, Wildcat, and Superman.

When Hal Jordan joined the Green Lantern Corps instead of Guy Gardner because Hal Jordan was closer to Abin Sur at the time, Sinestro was assigned to be his instructor.

Guy only wore the yellow ring for a short time before Hal Jordan, possessed by Parallax, destroyed it.

Sinestro reveals to Hal, Guy, and John that he intends to turn Earth into the new homeworld for the Sinestro Corps and the site of the new Coast City into a mass graveyard, " A mecca of fear ".

He along with G ' nort and Guy Gardner were freed from an Oan holding cell by Batman who was transported by Hal Jordan's ring to Oa to help the remaining members of the Corps after Despero seemingly destroys all the active members.

However, despite his attempts to stop them by using Mogo against them, Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner are able to escape Krona and fight back by using the rings of the other Corps — Hal wielding a Sinestro and an Orange ring, Guy a Red and a Star Sapphire, Kyle a Blue, and John an Indigo — to escape Parallax's influence long enough to kill Mogo and extract Parallax from the Power Battery.

By the end of his contract with producer Hal B. Wallis, Lewis had several productions of his own under his belt.
