Filmation later went on to produce the hit He-Man and the Masters of the Universe ( 1983 – 85 ), which occasionally used modified character and set designs from Star Trek: The Animated Series, mostly as background material.

BCI Eclipse LLC ( under license from Entertainment Rights ) released all 130 episodes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe on DVD in Region 1 in 2005 / 2006, in 4 volume sets.

Although featuring a vast line-up of characters, the main premise revolves around the conflict between the heroic He-Man and the evil Skeletor on planet Eternia.

In the earliest comics, He-Man is a wandering barbarian on Eternia, a world dealing with the aftermath of a Great War that has devastated the civilizations that once reigned, but has left behind fantastical machinery and weapons.

However, given that the He-Man series had been ceased to allow Filmation to concentrate on She-Ra, Filmation decided to reassign Hordak and the Evil Horde as the main villains of the She-Ra series to give the characters exposure.

When the Sorceress and He-Man arrive, followed by Skeletor, they find King Hiss leading an attack on a village in the hope of drawing out " The Elders ", using some of the cybernetic dinosaurs to their advantage.

Her most recognized work is on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and sister series She-Ra: Princess of Power.

She provided many of the female voices on He-Man such as Teela, Evil-Lyn, the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull and Queen Marlena as well as several from She-Ra like Madame Razz, Glimmer, Shadow Weaver, Scorpia and Entrapta.

Finally, despite his evil, Skeletor has been known to grovel when his life is in jeopardy, though this is usually an attempt to get the upper hand before betraying his savior, which is seen on a few occasions to trick He-Man into dropping his guard before attacking and escaping.
