Swindon reached the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time in the 1909 – 10 season, losing to eventual winners Newcastle United.

In 1912 Swindon Town reached the semi finals of the FA Cup for a second time in 3 years, losing to Barnsley F. C.

Good omens were quick to arrive though and before the 19th century was out the South Coast was given a taste of things to come as they reached the first of their four FA Cup Finals in 1900.
