Ice-T asked to be released from his contract with Warner Bros. Records, and his next solo album, Home Invasion, was released later in February of 1993 through Priority Records.

Ice-T finally landed a deal with a major label Sire Records.

Ice-T toured with Body Count on the first annual Lollapalooza concert tour in 1991, gaining him appeal among middle-class teenagers and fans of alternative music genres.

Ice-T had also collaborated with certain other heavy metal bands during this time period.

One of the last scenes includes Ice-T and Body Count playing with Jane's Addiction in a version of the Sly and the Family Stone song " Don't Call Me Nigger, Whitey.

Besides fronting his own band and rap projects, Ice-T has also collaborated with other hard rock and metal bands, such as Icepick, Motörhead, Slayer, Pro-Pain, and Six Feet Under.

Each week, Ice-T gives them assignments and they compete for an imitation gold chain with a microphone on it.

Ice-T also speculated that his past affiliation with Body Count could hurt Barack Obama's chances if he endorsed him, so he'd choose instead to ruin John McCain's campaign by saying he supported him.

Ice-T had a non-publicized feud with LL Cool J in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

He then devoted the third verse of the song to dissing Ice-T, mocking his rap ability (" take your rhymes around the corner to rap rehab "), his background (" before you rapped, you was a downtown car thief "), and his style (" a brother with a perm deserves to get burned ").

The festival, created by Perry Farrell and Marc Geiger, was to become a farewell tour for Jane's Addiction, but at the same time it was a music festival with bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Butthole Surfers, Fishbone, The Rollins Band, The Violent Femmes, Body Count, and Ice-T. During this time Jane's Addiction began to get more exposure than they had ever before.

Regardless, the band continued the tour and played about 25 more Lollapalooza shows, frequently playing a cover of Sly and the Family Stone's Don't Call Me Nigger, Whitey as a duet with Ice-T and Body Count as part of the set.

Ice-T was personally accused by Tipper Gore with support from the PMRC for the increasing rates of violence against police officers in Los Angeles in the late 1980s.

Ice-T began a solo career as a rapper, and later decided to form Body Count with these friends.

Ice-T cowrote the band's music and lyrics with lead guitarist Ernie C, and took on the duties of lead vocalist, even though he felt that he did not have a great singing voice.

Ice-T introduced the band at Lollapalooza in 1991, devoting half of his set to his hip hop songs, and half to Body Count songs, increasing his appeal with both alternative music fans and middle-class teenagers.

The song, " Body Count ", was preceded by a spoken introduction in which Ice-T responds to allegations that he had " sold out " by incorporating rock elements into his rap albums by pointing out that rock music originated with African-American artists such as Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley and Little Richard, in addition to stating that " as far as I'm concerned, music is music.

As the band began to play, some of the audience began fighting with Ice-T.

He has made guest appearances with acts including the Beastie Boys, Marilyn Manson, Pantera, Ice-T, Witchery, Sum 41, Megadeth and Metallica.

On June 24, 2008, Rivers appeared on NBC-TV ’ s show Celebrity Family Feud and competed with her daughter, Melissa against Ice-T and Coco.

The duo made its debut with Rhyme Syndicate Records, on a compilation album produced by Ice-T and Afrika Islam, before becoming a duo on Profile Records.

DJ Aladdin began working with Ice-T and WC formed a group called WC and the Maad Circle which included a then-unknown rapper named Coolio.

1991 would also see a starring role in the Mario Van Peebles-directed New Jack City, an urban gangster film with Wesley Snipes, Ice-T, Vanessa L. Williams, and Chris Rock ; the film was a commercial success.

Rapper-turned-actor Ice-T, who appears in this film as a pimp, would later join the cast of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Det.

Odafin " Fin " Tutuola is a fictional character on the TV drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, played by Ice-T.

When Ice-T asked Law & Order series producer Dick Wolf how the part was supposed to be performed, Wolf told him to simply do what Ice-T would do if he were a cop.
