John James Audubon ( Jean-Jacques Audubon ) ( April 26, 1785 – January 27, 1851 ) was a French-American ornithologist, naturalist, and painter.

James Edward Oglethorpe ( 22 December 1696 – 30 June 1785 ) was a British general, Member of Parliament, philanthropist, and founder of the colony of Georgia.

Hutton subsequently read an abstract of his dissertation Concerning the System of the Earth, its Duration and Stability to Society meeting on 4 July 1785, which he had printed and circulated privately.
