Buckingham Palace finally became the official royal palace of the British monarch on the accession of Queen Victoria in 1837.

The second immediate reason was the presence in Kabul in 1837 of a Russian agent, Captain P. Vitkevich, who was ostensibly there, as was the British agent Alexander Burnes, for commercial discussions.

British concern over Russian advances in Central Asia and growing influence in Persia culminated in two Anglo-Afghan wars and " The Siege of Herat " 1837 – 1838, in which the Persians, trying to retake Afghanistan and throw out the British and Russians, sent armies into the country and fought the British mostly around and in the city of Herat.

The first county seat was established at the town of Iroquois in 1837, though no official buildings were constructed there and offices were rented.

Fox ( 1869 ) Superintendent of Forests at the Adirondack Park in New York State ; Howard Simons ( 1951 ), managing editor of The Washington Post during the Watergate era ; Nikki Stone ( 1995 ), winner of a gold medal in the 1998 Winter Olympics for aerial skiing ; and Armand V. Feigenbaum ( 1942 ), American businessman and developer of the concept of Total Quality Management ( TQM ).

John Cadwalader married Williamina Bond ( 1753 – 1837 ), daughter of Dr. Phineas Bond, of Philadelphia.

They are named after Dr. William Fetherstone Montgomery ( 1797 – 1859 ), an Irish obstetrician who first described them in 1837.

* Lyndhurst This mansion was built between 1834 and 1837 for Dr James Bowman, who was the principal surgeon of the nearby Sydney Hospital.

Hooker established his contact with Dr Richardson to involve him in the publication of findings from Sir John Franklin's 1st and 2nd expeditions, the insect section in the Fauna Boreali-Americana in 1837.

Its name is taken from the name of a nearby homestead owned by Dr James Murray who named the homestead after the Old English god Woden in October 1837.

It was founded on July 6, 1917 to honor the life and work of Dr. Ramakrishna Gopal Bhandarkar ( 1837 – 1925 ), long regarded as the founder of Indology ( Orientalism ) in India.

The other monuments are those of Father William Tarleton, O. S. B., who died in 1816 of typhus fever, caught while consoling the sick ; Dr. James Appleton, O. S. B., D. D., who died a martyr of charity, in 1847 ; Father John Robinson, O. S. B, who died, deeply mourned by his flock, in 1837, and Father Vincent Glover, O. S. B, who died in 1840, aged 49.

According to Dr G. Gardner, in his Travels in the Interior of Brazil ( 1846 ), he was murdered in 1837 on the banks of the São Francisco River for charging too high for his medical assistance.

With another US citizen, Dr. William Chester Minor, he would become one of the most important ( and most obsessive ) collaborators the OED Project ’ s director Sir James Murray ( 1837 – 1915 ) had, and is recognized as such in many of the prefaces to the Dictionary itself.

In 1837, James Barrett, of Dartmouth College, saw her and mentioned her case to Dr. Mussey, the head of the medical department, who wrote an account which attracted the attention of Dr. Samuel Gridley Howe, the director of the Perkins Institution for the Blind at Boston.
