The cast is made up of the same characters from Mario Kart 64 ( Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Wario and Toad ).

According to this game, Peach was classified as lighter than Yoshi and Bowser was classified heavier than Donkey Kong, although most Mario games classify Peach being heavier than Yoshi while Bowser is lighter than Donkey Kong.

The new Donkey Kong introduced in " Donkey Kong Country " was initially characterized as the grandson of the original Donkey Kong, who appears in the game as an elderly ape named Cranky Kong, however Donkey Kong 64 states that the current Donkey Kong was actually meant to be Cranky Kong's son, with one source implying that he is a grown-up version of Donkey Kong Jr.

Donkey Kong made an appearance in Mario Kart 64, ( with the model made by Rare ).

In this game he had two new stages called " Jungle Japes " and " Kongo Jungle ", a version of the " DK Rap " from Donkey Kong 64 serves as stage music for Kongo Jungle ( the one difference in the lyrics being the word " heck " substituted from the word " hell ").

The Nintendo 64 video game Donkey Kong 64 also had this system, at one part of the game when playing as Donkey Kong, the player can play the original Donkey Kong game.

Marking the sixth Mario game for the Nintendo 64, Mario Tennis brings eleven new characters to the Mario Tennis franchise, including Waluigi, Princess Daisy, Wario, Shy Guy, Donkey Kong and Birdo.

Donkey Kong 64 is a platform game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64.

Donkey Kong 64 follows the adventures of Donkey Kong and four of his simian relatives as they try to win back their hoard of Golden Bananas and banish King K. Rool.

Donkey Kong 64 was the first game to require the Expansion Pak, which provides 4 MB more RAM for enhanced graphics and more expansive environments ( the only other game to require the Expansion Pak for any gameplay whatsoever was The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask ; all others were optional with the exception of Perfect Darks limited gameplay ).

Aside from those, Donkey Kong appeared in DK King of Swing on the GBA around the time of Jungle Beat, and in its sequel, DK Jungle Climber, for the Nintendo DS.

As Donkey Kong frees his fellow apes, they set off to recover the bananas and defeat King K. Rool and his army of Kremlings and other evil creatures.

Hans My Hedgehog, The Donkey and The Pig King fall under this grouping.
