Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr., OGH ( July 25, 1928 – July 10, 2012 ), known by his screen names Dolphy, Pidol, and Golay ( 1944 ), was a Filipino comedian-actor in the Philippines.
Dolphy was born on July 25, 1928 in Calle Padre Herrera ( now P. Herrera St .) of Tondo, Manila.
Dolphy died on July 10, 2012, 20: 34 ( Philippine time, 01: 34 UTC ), at the age of 83 due to multiple organ failure, secondary to complications brought about by pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and acute renal failure.
