* In the 6 June 2007, second season, eleventh episode of The Chaser's War on Everything, the possibility of Tinky Winky being homosexual was parodied when the Chaser's tested the Peel Hotel ( in Collingwood, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia )' s gaydar ( the hotel's Peel dancebar was given the right to ban heterosexual patrons ) with a Tinky Winky costumed figure that acted in a stereotypical homosexual fashion.

The building of the railway is covered by the 2004 BBC documentary series Seven Wonders of the Industrial World in episode 6, " The Line ".

Further inspiration came from a Danger Man episode called " Colony Three ", in which Drake infiltrates a spy school in Eastern Europe during the Cold War.

( As an in-joke, the episode " A Duck By Any Other Name " would have Drake suggest Double-O Duck as a new secret identity and Launchpad remark it " sounds kinda silly ")

In the episode " Tiff of the Titans " when Finton comes to visit Lauchpad, he explains to Drake Malard that " Finton and I used to work for the same guy ".

Drake finds him very irritating, but they do work together well in at least one episode.
