In the Deadpool Pulp timeline, Cable is now General Cable, who, along with Stryfe ( also a General ) and J. Edgar Hoover, hires former CIA man Wade Wilson to get back a stolen nuclear briefcase.

In a possible future timeline ( Earth-5700 ), Agent Zero joined a Wolverine-led version of the X-Men, teaming with Archangel, Juggernaut, Sunfire, Mystique, Aurora, and Deadpool.

General Stryfe is later killed by Deadpool.

* The Ultimate Marvel version of Deadpool is a cyborg.

Having gotten over the traumatic event of Ben Parker's death, Aunt May went on a date while Spider-Man is dealing with Deadpool and the X-Men.

* In the four-part " Deadpool " miniseries written by Mark Waid in 1994, Deadpool's mask is removed, at which point the character parrots Rorschach by saying, " My face!

In Deadpool: Suicide Kings # 2, Outlaw tells Deadpool that Alex has lost 14 lbs thanks to Jenny Craig, though Deadpool implies that he is still overweight.

* Deadpool ( Wade Wilson ) is a talkative mercenary for hire known as the " Merc with a Mouth ".

He appointed Deadpool as the head of his mercenary organization, Agency X, while he is getting back in shape.

* Bob, Agent of HYDRA is an average HYDRA agent pressed into service by Deadpool during his mission to rescue Agent X.

* Sandi Brandenberg is the secretary of Agency X, as well as a former love interest to both Deadpool and Agent X.

Keeping with the book's tone, the recap page is usually funny, often with Deadpool having to explain what the fourth wall is to other characters on the page.

Like the recap page, " Dear Deadpool " is often comical and has Deadpool breaking the fourth wall.

In this first story arc, Deadpool is hired by " The One World Church " to steal a virus that will allow them to turn everyone on Earth blue.

In " Bosom Buddies " ( issues # 20-23 ), Deadpool is hired to steal the Dominus Objective, a secondary hard drive that acts like a virus that acts like a server.

While Deadpool is out to steal the Objective, he ends up fighting both the B. A. D.

In " Sticky Situations " and " Living Legends " ( issues # 24 & 25 ), Deadpool is hired to steal plans for a secret government project called the " Cone of Silence ", which was originally designed as a force field to cut off Providence from the rest of the world.

There is a confrontation between Cable and Deadpool in which Cable reveals that he will be fostering superheroes in Providence.

This gesture does not go unnoticed by Deadpool, who is watching them from a nearby rooftop and notes Daredevil's new identity.

Deadpool, who shoots Cable in the back of the head while his personal force field is down.

He has also defeated Deadpool, who looks at him as a Rock God among mercenaries and has also referred to him as " The Keith Moon of spy trade " and " The Justin Timberlake of the Cherry Pop Club ".

Along the way, Deadpool battles Agent X who was hired by what appears to be a religious organization to track Deadpool in order to prevent the ‘ resurrection ’ of Cable.

Following a fight with Prestor John, Cable confronts Deadpool, who admits he cannot remember killing Barat.

After finding and being brainwashed by the Black Box to kill Cable, Deadpool returns to Providence where he finds Siryn and ' Cannonball ' ( Deadpool loses some respect for Sam Guthrie on learning his true codename ) who are also looking for Cable.

The Cat reveals to them it was the Black Box who hired him originally, though it was Cable who paid him, as well as who hired them and Deadpool.

In the " Civil War " story arc, Deadpool has been given the job of hunting down super-powered individuals who have not signed the Superhuman Registration Act.

Although, Deadpool soon beats up and defeats Rhino, along with various bar goers to who Rhino was showing off his " deadpool-keychain " to.

Deadpool, who has parachuted from the Angency X jet, shoots Sabretooth and Irene manages to roll away.

All goes well but due to ' temporal hiccups ', Captain America and Bucky seem to repeatedly forget who Deadpool and Bob are.

After being dismissed from the Baxter Building for his mercenary lifestyle ( although Sandi and Outlaw, who also work for Agency X are invited to stay for poker ) Deadpool, Bob and Weasel return to the Agency X offices.

Here they find Doctor Strange who has come to recruit Deadpool to save the multiverse from a problem he apparently created.

Having found themselves alongside Captain America and a foul-mouthed Bucky, Deadpool and Bob join in on the fight against the Nazis.

He has recently appeared in Cable & Deadpool working as a mercenary for Cable.

Marvel launched a number of solo series, including Deadpool, Cable, Bishop, X-Man, and Gambit, but few of the series would survive the decade.

Cable and Deadpool's books were also rolled into one book, called Cable & Deadpool.

Agent X also appeared in Cable & Deadpool # 11-12.

When they later found themselves on opposing sides over the fate of Cable, Alex had another confrontation with Deadpool, which he lost initially, giving Deadpool the opportunity to spell out " Hi, Weasel " with his entrails as a " surprise " for his best friend.

A version of Mister Sinister appears in the House of M storyline and fights a dimension-hopping Deadpool over an infant Cable.

In preparation for Messiah Complex, Cable seemingly died when he detonated Providence remains to prevent Gambit and Sunfire from stealing his database, causing the series to focus mostly on Deadpool for the next six or so issues.

Cable was canceled in April 2010 with issue # 25 ( the final issue being called Deadpool and Cable # 25 ).

In 2004, he reunited with Fabian Nicieza for an X-Force limited series and illustrated the early covers for Nicieza's Cable and Deadpool.

For a time, Marvel credited only Liefeld and Simonson as Cable's creators within the Cable & Deadpool series.

Cable & Deadpool was a comic book series published by Marvel Comics beginning in 2004.
