The Student Finance Committee ( SFC ) a sub-committee oversees the collection and disbursement of Student Activity Fee and govern the disbursement of funds to registered student organizations.

The Student Government Association ( SGA ) is the voice of the students, as well as the sole governing body over the Student Activity Fund and student organizations at the university,.

During the past 15 years, the college has built several new facilities, including the Edwin and Avis Nelson Physical Activity Center, a wood-fired heating plant, the Student Center, and the Lindeken-Carillon Clock Tower.

In October 2005, the Michael Simmons Student Activity Center opened at Rec East, featuring commemorative displays chronicling the history and the participants of trike and tandem, containing bleacher seating, an all-purpose room, restrooms, an observation deck, and storage.

The buildings surrounding the Quad are Keeny Hall, Howard Auditorium, the Student Center, the Bookstore, the Wyly Tower of Learning, the current Prescott Memorial Library, and the original Prescott Library now known as University Hall.

Centennial Plaza is enclosed by Tolliver Hall, the Student Center, Howard Auditorium, and Harper Residence Hall.

The first dining hall is the Student Center which is home to the cafeteria, a smaller dining hall for eating and socializing, the LA Tech Cafe, several small restaurants including Chick-fil-A and Burger King, and the Tonk.

The Student Center is also home to the CEnIT Innovation Lab, several large study areas, and a conference room.

One of the three bronze bulldog statues is located on the first floor of the Student Center near the entrance of the Tonk.

Tolliver Hall, named after Tech's first full-time dietitian Irene Tolliver, is located at the west end of Centennial Plaza near the Wisteria Student Center.
