On December 31, 2007, the NES version of Bubble Bobble was released on Nintendo's Virtual Console service for the Wii.

Link is also a fighter in Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii alongside Zelda ( also able to transform into Sheik ), Ganondorf and Young Link ( the child version of Link from Ocarina of Time ).

Worms: A Space Oddity was developed by Team17 exclusively for Nintendo's Wii system, using a heavily modified version of the Worms: Open Warfare 2 engine.

An updated version for the Wii has also been announced.

In 2009, this version was also released as an unlockable extra of the Wii action game Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, and as a digitally distributed Steam title.

The " talkie " version was later included as an extra game mode in the Wii version of the 2009 action game Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, and distributed via the digital content delivery software Steam as a port for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS X that same year.

The Super Nintendo version 1. 1 was released on the Virtual Console for the Wii in Oceania on 7 December 2006, Europe on 8 December 2006, and North America on 19 February 2007.

A version for the Wii Homebrew Channel has also emerged.

Admiral Ackbar can be played as a hidden character in the Nintendo Wii version of the 2008 video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed if the player enters the cheat code " ITSATWAP ".

This version of the pad will also work in conjunction with the Wii Remote.

It has currently been released in Japan on the Wii, and is in the making of a Wii U version.

In November 2006, Twilight Princess was released as the first Zelda game on the Wii, and later, in December 2006, on the Nintendo GameCube, the console for which it was originally developed.

Director Sam Balcomb defended in an interview with IGN. com that Link was right-handed in the Wii version of Twilight Princess and that Killigrew didn't have time to train left-handed.

Originally planned for release in November 2005, Twilight Princess was delayed by Nintendo to allow its developers to refine the game and add more content and to port it to the Wii.
