In both the book and the film, Gordon announces the coming of a new threat: The Joker.

The first incarnation of the film was a 1953 script by Alex Gordon titled The Atomic Monster, but a lack of financing prevented any production.

The 1987 Oliver Stone film Wall Street created the iconic figure of Gordon Gekko who used the phrase " greed is good ", which caught on in the cultural parlance.

The physical film is cut with a knife at the end of one complete sequence, and the cut edge is joined physically, by cement, to the cut edge of the beginning of the next sequence.

The `` chase '' as a standard film device probably dates from The Great Train Robbery, and there is a reason for the continued popularity of the device.
