Originating in Guatemala, the Rio Lempa cuts across the northern range of mountains, flows along much of the central plateau, and finally cuts through the southern volcanic range to empty into the Pacific.

The Orange River rises in the Drakensberg mountains in northeastern Lesotho and flows across the entire length of the country before exiting to South Africa at the Mohale's Hoek District in the southwest.

* Belle Cote, a small picturesque fishing village located at the mouth of the Margaree River where it flows into the Gulf of St Lawrence, marks the traditional boundary of the Scottish settlements to the south and the Acadian villages to the north that are located on the western side of Cape Breton Island.

The Hutt River ( Māori: Te Awakairangi, Te Wai o Orutu or Heretaunga ) flows through the southern North Island of New Zealand.

Three rivers, the Yantic, the Shetucket, and the Quinebaug, flow into the city and form its harbor, from which the Thames River flows south to Long Island Sound.

It flows on either side of Île Bizard ( part of Montreal ), it then divides the Island of Montreal ( Montreal ) to the south from Île Jésus ( Laval ) to the north, after which it flows into the St. Lawrence River at the eastern tip of the Island of Montreal.
