Jerzy Kossak ( Kraków, 11 September 1886 – 11 May 1955, Kraków ) was a Polish realist painter specializing in military scenes ; son of painter Wojciech Kossak and grandson of painter Juliusz Kossak — a third-generation artist from a well-known and sought after family of painters, writers and poets.

Jerzy Kossak was a prolific painter of mostly historic scenes featuring the famed Polish Uhlans on horses, usually sold on the spot, but also used for barter at times of the postwar economic slump, until his death before the end of Stalinism in Poland.

Jeremi Przybora ( 12 December 1915 in Warsaw-4 March 2004 ) was a popular Polish poet, writer, actor and singer, best known for creating TV-series " Kabaret Starszych Panów " ( Elderly Gentlemen's Cabaret ) with Jerzy Wasowski and for his ballads and sung poetry, a popular music genre in Poland. Stanisław Jerzy Lec ( 6 March 1909 – 7 May 1966 ) ( born Baron Stanisław Jerzy de Tusch-Letz ) was a poet and aphorist of Polish and Jewish noble origin.

She was married three times: to Rodney Bax, whom she met at Bletchley Park ; to the poet Jerzy Pietrkiewicz ; and briefly to Claude Brooke.
