Julian Sands reprised the role of Jor-El in the tenth season episode " Abandoned ", appearing in the form of a holographic message that Jor-El and Lara had recorded for Kal-El shortly before his ship was launched, after Lois travels to the Fortress to confront Jor-El about his failures as a father, the message featuring Jor-El and Lara assuring their son that they have faith in him, also explaining that Jor-El's cold attitude at times stems from the fact that the original Jor-El only gave the Fortress his knowledge, holding back his emotions because he worried that he might be guided to be too easy on his son when the time came for him to face his challenges.
