In Persian, the style Atabeg-e-Azam (' Great Atabeg ) was occasionally used as an alternative title for the Shah's Vazir-e-Azam ( Grand Vizier ), notably in 1834-35 for Mirza Abolghasem Farahani, Gha ' em Magham, in 1848-51 for Mirza Mohammed Taghi Khan, Amir-e Kabir, in 1906-07 for Mirza Ali Asghar Khan, Amin-ol Soltan, and finally in 1916 for a Qajar prince, Major-General Shahzadeh Sultan ' Abdu ' l Majid Mirza, Eyn-ol Douleh.

The first Persian Ambassador to the United States of America was Mirza Albohassan Khan Ilchi Kabir.

Khan stated that he accepted the role of Kabir Khan, the captain of the team, because he liked " the thought of a film whose plot is about women ".

He plays Kabir Khan like a real flesh-and-blood human being.

In 2005, Nasreen Munni Kabir produced a two-part documentary on Khan, titled The Inner and Outer World of Shah Rukh Khan.

Amir Kabir ( 1807 – 10 January 1852 ) (), also known as Mirza Taghi Khan Amir-Nezam (), also known by the titles of Atabak and Amir-e Nezam ; chief minister to Naser al-Din Shah Qajar ( Shah of Persia ) for the first three years of his reign and one of the most capable and innovative figures to appear in the whole Qajar period.

Amir Kabir sent two armies against Hasan Khan, the second of which, commanded by Soltan Morad Mirza, defeated his forces and captured him.

The instructors were for the most part Austrians, recruited in Vienna by Daʾud Khan, an Assyrian who had become acquainted with Amir Kabir during the work of the Ottoman-Iranian border commission.

By the time the instructors arrived in Tehran in Moharram, 1268 / November, 1851, Amir Kabir had already been dismissed, and it fell to Daʾud Khan to receive them.

Mirza Aqa Khan Nuri, Amir Kabir ’ s successor, sought to persuade Naser-al-din Shah to abrogate the whole project, but the Darolfonun, soon became a posthumous monument to its founder.

A coalition was thus formed among this opposition whose prominent members consisted of the Queen Mother, Mahd Ulm, Mirza Aqa Khan Nuri-Amir Kabir ’ s lieutenant and British subservient-and Mirza Yususf Ashtiyani-the Court ’ s chief accountant and Russian subservient.

His execution was ordered six weeks later after the Queen mother and his executioner, Ali Khan Farash-bashi, had convinced the King that Amir Kabir would soon be granted immunity by the Russians – possibly allowing him to make an attempt to regain control of the government with force.

The garden is also notorious as the site of the murder of Mirza Taghi Khan known as Amir Kabir, chancellor of Nasser-al-Din Shah, Iran's King in 1852.

It starred Shahrukh Khan, Kabir Bedi, Sunil Shetty, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, & Amrita Rao.

Kabir ’ s has had extensive roles on American television-primetime and daytime, series and miniseries-including Hallmark ’ s African epic Forbidden Territory, and Ken Follett ’ s On Wings of Eagles and also Red Eagle.

Kabir also played roles on Dynasty, Murder, She Wrote, Magnum, P. I., Hunter, Knight Rider and Highlander: The Series amongst others.

In Europe, his greatest success was Sandokan, the saga of a romantic Asian pirate during British colonial times ; an Italian-German-French TV series which broke viewership records across Europe .. Kabir also recently starred in a prime-time Italian television series, Un Medico In Famiglia, on RAI TV, the country's biggest broadcaster.

The Guru Granth Sahib also says that Bhagat Namdev and Bhagat Kabir, who were both believed to be Hindus, both attained salvation though they were born before Sikhism took root and were clearly not Sikhs. This highlights and reinforces the Guru's saying that " peoples of other faiths " can join with God as true and also at the same time signify that Sikhism is not the exclusive path for liberation.

Sadhukaddi was also a language commonly used, especially by Kabir in his poetry and dohas.

The Nirgun School of Bhakti Poetry was also tremendously secular in nature and its propounders like Kabir and Guru Nanak had a large number of followers irrespective of caste or religion.

Amir Kabir, Prime Minister under Nasereddin Shah, also initiated direct contacts with the American government in Washington.

It also opposed the caste system, with prominent bhakti poets Ravidas and Kabir both writing against the hierarchy of caste.

In this he acted almost independently of the central government in Tehran, which not only failed to formulate a consistent policy vis-à-vis the Ottomans but also opposed most of Amir Kabir ’ s initiatives.

Of particular interest is the care shown by Amir Kabir for the economic development of Khuzestan ( then known as ʿArabestan ), identified by him as an area of strategic importance, given its location at the head of the Persian Gulf, and also of potential prosperity.

Amir Kabir also sought to reduce clerical power by restricting the ability of the ulema to grant refuge ( bast ), in their residences and the mosques under their control, to criminals and others pursued by the state.

Mozaffar-e-din Shah's son Mohammad Ali Shah ( reigned 1907 – 1909 ), who, through his mother, was also the grandson of Prime-Minister Amir Kabir ( see before ), with the aid of Russia, attempted to rescind the constitution and abolish parliamentary government.

His 12 disciples are very famous-Anantananda, Bhavananda, Dhanna Bhagat, Kabir, Nabha, Naraharyanda, Pipa, Ravidas ( also known as Guru Ravidas ), Bhagat Sain, Sukhanada, Ranka and Tulsidas ( the author of the Ramcharitmanas ).

This festival has also had its fair share of celebrities in attendance with some names being actors Kabir Bedi, Shahid Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee, Vidya Balan, Gul Panag, Purab Kohli, Neha Dhupia, Sanjay Suri, Shankar Mahadevan, Kavita Seth, Harsha Bhogle and Lalit Parimoo.

As once famously stated by Kabir Suman, the song Amar bhitor o bahire became a all time popular song for the Bengalis of both Bangladesh and West Bengal.

By decree of the President of the Italian Republic of 2 June 2010, Kabir Bedi was officially knighted.

In mid 1850 a new prime-minister, Amir Kabir, was convinced that the Bábí movement was a threat and ordered the execution of the Báb which was followed by the killings of many Bábís.

We do know, however, that his early spiritual training came from Ramananda, who became his guru when Kabir was still a child.

Kabir was influenced by the prevailing religious mood of his times, such as old Brahmanic Hinduism, Tantrism, the teachings of Nath yogis and the personal devotionalism of South India mixed with the imageless God of Islam.

The incorporation of much of his verse in Sikh scripture, and the fact that Kabir was a predecessor of Guru Nanak, have led some western scholars to mistakenly describe him as a forerunner of Sikhism.

His second wife was Al Jawhara bint Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Al Kabir and they had a daughter, Munira.

Kabir and Guru Nanak belong to the Nirguna school, and their philosophy was greatly influenced by the Advaita Vedanta philosophy of Adi Sankaracharya.

While there, he found not only his relatives, but became acquainted with the work of a number of major poets whose work was barely known in the United States, among them Pablo Neruda, Cesar Vallejo, Antonio Machado, Gunnar Ekelof, Georg Trakl, Rumi, Hafez, Kabir, Mirabai, and Harry Martinson.

Amir Kabir was born into a lowly household at Hezaveh in the Farahan district, situated in Markazi Province of Iran.

After he had learned reading, writing, and some mathematics, Amir Kabir, still an adolescent, was appointed by Mirza Bozorg to supervise his stables, a function he performed with exemplary efficiency.

But his minister, Mirza Fathallah Nasir-al-molk ʿAliabadi, was unable to procure the necessary funds, so Naser-al-din had recourse to Amir Kabir, who made the necessary arrangements.

The intrigues of his opponents resulted in a mutiny of a company of Azerbaijani troops garrisoned in Tehran, demanding his removal and execution ; but with the cooperation of Mirza Abu ’ l-Qasem Emam-e Jomeh of Tehran, who ordered the merchants of Tehran to close the bazaar and arm themselves, the mutiny was soon quelled, and Amir Kabir resumed his duties.

Among the various measures enacted by Amir Kabir, the foundation of the Darolfonun, in Tehran was possibly the most lasting in its effects.

The initial purpose of the institution was to train officers and civil servants to pursue the regeneration of the state that Amir Kabir had begun, but as the first educational institution giving instruction in modern learning, it had far wider impact.

In founding the journal Amir Kabir hoped to give greater effect to government decrees by bringing them to the attention of the public ; thus the text of the decree forbidding the levying of soyursat was published in the third tissue of the paper.

Not content with thus circumscribing the prerogatives of the sharʿ courts, Amir Kabir took stringent measures against sharʿ judges found guilty of bribery or dishonesty ; thus Molla ʿAbd-al-Rahim Borujerdi was expelled from Tehran when he offered to settle a case involving one of Amir Kabir ’ s servants to the liking of the minister.
