Venice was started in Venice, California in 1977 by cousins Michael Lennon ( born 17 July 1959 ) and Kipp Lennon ( born 12 March 1960 ).

The city was originally founded as Evergreen in 1898 along the Texas and New Orleans Railroad, when John Henry Kipp and James H. Bradford subdivided their lots to establish a township.

About five days before Alydar's injury his original night watchman, Harold " Cowboy " Kipp, testified that he was at work on the farm when he was ordered to take Tuesday, November 13th off.

One source reports that the Kipp homestead was originally filed by the historic figure James Kipp ( 1788 – 1880 ) and was lived in by his son, Joseph and then his grandson, James Kipp, but that this Kipp homestead and the homestead downriver on Bull Creek became the property of the Jones family, related by marriage to the Kipp family.

Another source indicates the homestead was claimed by Jim Kipp in 1913.

Jim was the son of Joseph Kipp ( 1849 – 1913 ) who was the son of the historic figure James Kipp ( 1788 – 1880 ) and his wife Earth Woman.

For many years a snubbing post, used to tie up steamboats, was buried in the river bank between the Kipp homestead and the river.

Despite a training accident on 25 July 1949 in which Squadron Leader Bob Kipp was killed near St. Hubert, the team went on to become the de facto official RCAF aerobatic team.

Karl-Heinz Kipp is the billionaire founder of the Massa chain of German department stores and, having since sold the business whilst keeping the property, has a large property portfolio.

He is also said to have abandoned another employer, James Kipp, while on a fur expedition in 1834.

The 1980s brought construction of the Kipp Aquarium and the Denton Cooley Animal Hospital.

The 1990s saw the renovation of the Tropical Bird House, the expansion of the Kipp Aquarium and the construction of a new gift shop and office facility at the Zoo ’ s main entrance.

To offload cargo at Cow island, the steamboats used a landing point several hundred yards above Cow Creek, in front of the now abandoned buildings of the Kipp homestead ( see photo ), or down river, several hundreds of yards below Cow Creek.

Just upstream from the mouth of Cow Creek, the Kipp homestead lies in Cow Creek bottom.

The elder historic James Kipp ( 1788 – 1880 ) helped establish Ft. Union at the mouth of the Yellowstone in 1828 and he also founded Ft. Piegan at the mouth of the Marias River in 1831.

In 2003, Light again started 16 games, and earned his second Super Bowl ring after helping to not allow a sack against a Carolina Panthers defensive line in Super Bowl XXXVIII that featured Kris Jenkins, Mike Rucker, Brentson Buckner and Julius Peppers.

Although Carolina first played Tampa Bay in 1995, their rivalry did not start until 2003, when DT Brentson Buckner claimed fellow DT Kris Jenkins was the best defensive tackle in football, angering Tampa Bay DT Warren Sapp.

A black man named John Buckner was lynched when accused of raping a local black woman and a white teenager.

Buckner also played some first base with the Dodgers, making 87 starts at first in, but when Steve Garvey emerged as a Gold Glove first baseman and the National League's Most Valuable Player the following season, he was shifted to left field permanently in 1974.

However, the New York Mets scored three unanswered runs, tying the game on a wild pitch from Bob Stanley and winning it when Boston first baseman Bill Buckner allowed a ground ball hit by the Mets ' Mookie Wilson to roll through his legs, scoring Ray Knight from second base.

The series is best remembered for Game 6, when the Red Sox were one out away from the Series victory but blew a 2-run lead with the bases empty and 2 outs in the bottom of the 10th inning ; the game's final play was a groundball that rolled through the legs of first baseman Bill Buckner.

Named after the " South American soldier and statesman, Simón Bolívar, then at the height of his power ", Buckner did not begin school until age nine, when he enrolled at a private school in Munfordville.

At the firm, he served as chief assistant for senior partner Emory Buckner and followed him into public service when Buckner was appointed United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

The firm was founded in 1946 when six partners — including Henry Friendly — from the firm of Root, Clark, Buckner & Howland ( which became Dewey Ballantine in the 1950s and which subsequently became Dewey & LeBoeuf before the latter filed for bankruptcy in New York on May 28, 2012 ) left Root, Clark to found a firm which they initially called " Cleary, Friendly, Gottlieb & Steen.
