* The Offspring frontman Dexter Holland and bassist Greg Kriesel form the label Nitro Records, an incubator for successful punk artists such as AFI.

After Holland met friend and fellow cross-country teammate Greg Kriesel, they started a local punk band called Manic Subsidal in 1984, where he played the drums.

Before joining The Offspring, Noodles played in a local band called Clowns of Death ( there's been a rumor that Dexter Holland and Greg Kriesel were involved in that band ).
