Recently, tha Dogg Pound has been involved in various side projects ; Kurupt announced the formation of supergroup 1st Generation, made up of himself, King Tee, Sir Jinx, Gangsta of tha Comradz and MC Eiht and producer Tha Chill of Compton's Most Wanted.

In 2011, MC Eiht and tha Chill linked back up to form parts of the supergroup 1st Generation, which also includes Jayo Felony, Kurupt, fellow Compton native King Tee, Sir Jinx, and Gangsta.

In 2004, he followed up with Legal Hustle ( a compilation album showcasing his label's artists ) and other talented hip-hop lyricists such as Ghostface Killah, Large Professor, AZ, Kurupt, Jayo Felony, and several others.

The show featured many famous rappers and hip hop artists, including Ice Cube, Eminem, Proof, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, Kurupt, D12, MC Ren, Westside Connection, Mel-Man, Tha Eastsidaz, Doggy's Angels, Devin The Dude, Warren G, TQ, Truth Hurts and Xzibit.

He has also produced for other hip hop and pop artists such as Britney Spears, Kurupt, Eminem, Ice Cube, Westside Connection, Lil ' Kim, Hilary Duff, Xzibit, Nate Dogg, Everlast, Cypress Hill, 50 Cent, Justin Bieber, Mobb Deep, and The Doors, as well as non-US acts such as Dizzie Rascal, Qusai, Karl Wolf, and Adil Omar.

His roommate at the time Xzibit introduced him to Soopafly, who then also passed his beat CD on to members of the Dogg Pound, Daz and Kurupt which led to his production on the Kurupt album Tha Streetz Iz a Mutha and the chance to work with Snoop Dogg.

Before the The Chronic album came out, Kurupt & Daz were solo artists, however having heard the chemistry the two had whilst recording the album, Dr. Dre suggested they make a group.

In 1996, Tha Dogg Pound were featured on 2Pac's legendary, and widely acclaimed Death Row Records debut album All Eyez on Me with Kurupt featured in " Got My Mind Made Up " and " Check Out Time " and Daz Dillinger producing the hit songs " 2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted ", " Ambitionz Az A Ridah ", and " I Ain't Mad At Cha " among other tracks which solidified his status as a talented and successful producer.

Kurupt and Daz were deeply affected by this and struggled to release anything after Shakur's passing.

The feud ended when Snoop Dogg and Kurupt were featured on Krayzie Bone's album Thug Mentality 1999 in the song " The War Iz On.

Kurupt did the same claiming they all were wrong to have turned their backs on Death Row.

Ol ' Dirty Bastard, Kurupt, Tech N9ne, and Wolfpac were among those who performed.

featured the first collaboration between Canibus and Kurupt, Ras Kass and Killah Priest, a rap supergroup collectively known as The HRSMN ( referring to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse ), on the track " Horsementality ".

Daz, now head producer, worked on Snoop Dogg's second album Tha Doggfather, which featured Bad Azz and Techniec of his LBC Crew, Warren G and Nate Dogg of his group 213 and Kurupt and Daz of Tha Dogg Pound.

" Kurupt was featured on Flesh-N-Bone's song " Kurupted Flesh " on the 5th Dog Let Loose.

Kurupt responded heavily with his Originals album which featured many disses throughout nearly every song, most notably the bonus track " Eat a Dicc ( Fucc Daz )".

Over the course of its run, Fastlane featured cameos and guest appearances from several known figures, including Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Mischa Barton, Jenny McCarthy, Krista Allen, Jake Busey, Bokeem Woodbine, Hudson Leick, Jaime Pressly, George Hamilton, Eric Mabius, Michelle Forbes, Navi Rawat, Iggy Pop, Naomi Campbell, Tommy Lee, Terrence Howard, Isaac Hayes, the Red Elvises, Tatyana Ali, Paul Gleason, Antonio Fargas, Biz Markie, Kurupt, Treach and Ali Landry.

Their breakthrough song was the minor hit " Ain't No Fun ( If the Homies Can't Have None )" from Snoop Dogg's solo debut Doggystyle, which also featured Kurupt of Tha Dogg Pound.

On September the 22nd Ras Kass's second album Rasassination was released, it featured the first collaboration between Ras Kass and Kurupt.

Rappers Jay-Z, Kurupt, Sticky Fingaz, Big Pun, DMX, Wyclef Jean and the Wu-Tang Clan replied to the song and Nas, who received the track positively, invited Jackson to travel on a promotional tour for his Nastradamus album.

Kurupt and Daz went on to release solo albums starting in 1998.

His awaited Death Row release Against Tha Grain had been postponed several times while Kurupt was on the label, later being released in August 2005, after he was off.

In February in an interview for The Source, Kurupt stated that Dr. Dre and Daz Dillinger would be helping with production on the HRSMN album.

There is also a shoutout in the sleeve stating " Four Horsemen, Canibus, Ras Kass, ( Kurupt catch you on the next one )", meaning he was planning on working with Kurupt on his next album.

He stated the name would be changed from " The Four Horsemen " to just " Horsemen ", and under this title Ras Kass, Pharoahe Monch, Killah Priest, and Kurupt would be appearing on his new album, 2000 B. C.

Artists such as Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Abstract Rude, Spinz, Ahmad, Freestyle Fellowship, Jurassic 5, the Pharcyde, Skee-Lo, a pre-Dogg Pound Kurupt, and many others performed at the Good Life's open mic Thursday nights from the late-80s into the mid-90s.

It is known to have signed many popular West Coast hip hop artists such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, MC Hammer, Nate Dogg and the rap group Tha Dogg Pound consisting of rappers Kurupt and Daz Dillinger also Lisa " Left Eye " Lopes of TLC although most if not all departed from the label after its demise following the murder of Tupac Shakur in 1996.

Tha Dogg Pound's debut album, Dogg Food, continued the label's streak of commercial successes ; its members, rappers Kurupt and Daz Dillinger, joined Shakur in ridiculing New York rappers with their single " New York, New York ," featuring Snoop Dogg.

His control over the label diminished, Nate Dogg was able to leave, followed by Snoop Dogg and Kurupt ; after the release of his own and the Lady of Rage's solo albums, Daz and Rage followed suit.

Kurupt returned to the label in 2002 upon Suge Knight's release from prison.

Despite bad blood, Kurupt would again sign with Suge Knight in exchange for the position of Vice President, which sparked a feud between himself and former friends Daz and Snoop Dogg.

After promoting his new talent for years from prison, directing a campaign against his former artists and exacerbating the conflict between Daz and Kurupt, Suge had still yet to release any albums by his living artists.
