Maurice LaMarche continued as Gadget's voice, reprising his role from the " Sunday Movie Toon ", " Inspector Gadget's Last Case ", as did Brian Drummond ( Dr Claw ) and Tegan Moss ( Penny ).

When he auditioned for the voice of Egon Spengler, Maurice LaMarche noted that while he was asked not to impersonate Harold Ramis, he did so anyway and eventually got the part.

Maurice LaMarche was brought back to play Egon Spengler — though Frank Welker and Laura Summer did not return to play Slimer and Janine, respectively.

LaMarche said in an interview that he did two different takes, one where he impersonated Ramis, the other where he tried a more " Woody Allen " like approach, which he admitted did not suit the character's physicality.

* Johnny Tomato ( voiced by Maurice LaMarche )-Inspired by his love of 1950s rockabilly music ( and a desire to erase the mistakes he made when he first created Tara ), Dr. Gangreen created a tomato that could change into a human named Johnny Tomato.

After The Real Ghostbusters, LaMarche became a regular mainstay of the voiceover industry appearing in such shows as Talespin, Tiny Toon Adventures, GI Joe, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: The Animated Series, Taz-Mania, Where's Waldo, The Little Mermaid, Batman: The Animated Series, and Bonkers before landing perhaps his most recognized role in 1993 as The Brain on Animaniacs ( and later its spin-off show Pinky and the Brain ).

Full Throttle employed several skilled voice acting professionals, such as Roy Conrad, Kath Soucie, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, Hamilton Camp, Steven Jay Blum and Mark Hamill.

LaMarche is promoted to main cast and Tom, LaMarr and Herman to supporting cast in Season 5, and promoted again to main cast in Season 6.

Since Futurama LaMarche has continued to work steadily in television, including guest roles on The Simpsons ( where he once again parodied Orson Welles ).

Three years later, at the age of 22, LaMarche moved straight to Los Angeles to further his stand up career.

Over the next five years, LaMarche's career would gradually progress, playing comedy clubs all over the U. S., with several appearances on Merv Griffin and " An Evening At The Improv ", but in spite of such interest, LaMarche always believed that, while his impersonations and stage presence were strong, he needed to develop funnier comedy material.

Although he was received ( and reviewed ) favorably, in looking back on his own performance in that special, LaMarche believed he was " probably about five years away from going from being a good comedian to being a great comedian " and being the " only impressionist that actually comes from somewhere ".

The stretch of two years after this saw LaMarche portray characters in such shows as Duckman, Hey Arnold!

The reunion was not held for several years following the death of Pauline LaMarche ( 2004 ), the academy's second principal and original organizer of the event.

Maurice LaMarche ( who would assume the voice role in " Inspector Gadget: Gadget's Greatest Gadgets " ten years later ) plays Gadget in this segment.

He was voiced by Jerry Colonna, after whom his appearance and personality were modelled, and later by Maurice LaMarche.

In television commercials, he was the voice of the Pillsbury Doughboy, the 7-Up bird Fresh-Up Freddie, Froot Loops spokesbird Toucan Sam ( previously voiced by Mel Blanc, later voiced by Maurice LaMarche ), Boo-Berry in the series of monster cereal commercials, and the Little Green Sprout, who called out to the Jolly Green Giant, " Hey, Green Giant, what's new besides ho-ho-ho?

* Gadget Boy: Gadget Boy, voiced by Don Adams and later Maurice LaMarche, is a bionic police detective working for Interpol in New York City.

During his standup career, LaMarche opened for such acts as Rodney Dangerfield, George Carlin, Howie Mandel, David Sanborn and Donna Summer, usually in the main showrooms of Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

At this point, though he remained sober, LaMarche decided he just could not do standup comedy anymore.

This reaction was coupled with the backlash LaMarche received from fellow Canadian comedians who LaMarche describes as discouraging him from pursuing a career outside of Canada.
