Leia, Han, and a few companions work with Harrar and a group of heretics to get inside the Well of the World Brain on Coruscant.

Despite capturing the Rebel sympathizer Princess Leia, the plans are still transmitted, and the Death Star is destroyed with many soldiers still stationed inside.

When Han and Leia Organa Solo discover this, they join the Skywalkers and Saba in their journey after they rendezvous inside an insect-like hive in space, which is filled with beings from all over the galaxy, along with strange insect beings.

*" The Great Search " — Rebels discover the plans to the first Death Star and deliver them to Princess Leia Organa's corvette, the Tantive IV.

The campaign ends with the protection of the princess from an Imperial attack, allowing Leia to ferry on the Death Star plans.

Ann Sachs provided the voice of Leia in the 1980s radio dramatizations of the original Star Wars trilogy, and Lisa Fuson did so for the Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi, Star Wars: Rebellion, and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds video games.

Han is also used as a test subject for the carbon freezing chamber meant for Luke, and it is there that Leia finally confesses her love for Han.

While preparing for a last battle with the Empire on Endor, Luke reveals to a stunned Leia that she is, in fact, his twin sister, and that Vader is their father.

In The Truce at Bakura, set one day after the ending of Return of the Jedi, Leia establishes New Alderaan, a sanctuary for the destroyed planet's surviving inhabitants.

As described in The Courtship of Princess Leia, Leia marries Han after a near-disastrous courtship in which Prince Isolder vies for her affections.

Han and Leia go to Hapes for Anakin's funeral, then on several missions to restore HoloNet communications to the Unknown Regions, including foiling a second attempt of the Ssi-ruuk to invade Bakura in the process.

The band takes their name from a Star Wars reference — a " nerf herder " is a fictional occupation referred to by Princess Leia ( Carrie Fisher ) in the 1980 film Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, when she insults Han Solo ( Harrison Ford ) for arrogantly asserting that she has romantic feelings for him: " Why you stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder!
