The concept of " non-antagonistic classes " was entirely new to Leninist theory.

Leninist revolutionary theory alongside Marxist economic theory forms the ideology of Marxism-Leninism.

A Communist party is, at least according to Leninist theory, the vanguard party of the working class, whether ruling or non-ruling, but when such a party is in power in a specific country, the party is said to be the highest authority of the dictatorship of the proletariat.

As a result, since 1917, Trotskyism as a political theory is fully committed to a Leninist style of democratic centralist party organisation, which Trotskyists argue must not be confused with the party organisation as it later developed under Stalin.

The theory of Three Represents was believed by many political analysts to be Jiang's effort at extending his vision to Marxist – Leninist principles, and therefore elevating himself alongside previous Chinese Marxist philosophers Mao and Deng.

The Marxist and Leninist views of imperialism, and related theories such as dependency theory, mostly look at the economic rather than military or political ( though these are related ) dominance of certain countries over others.

Among the early writings was " Marxism and Socialist Theory " an evaluation of Marxist and Marxist – Leninist theory that emphasized what they believed were serious flaws.

In China, the claim that Mao had " adapted Marxism – Leninism to Chinese conditions " evolved into the idea that he had updated it in a fundamental way applying to the world as a whole ; consequently, the term " Marxism – Leninism – Mao Zedong Thought " ( commonly known as Maoism ) was increasingly used to describe the official Chinese state ideology as well as the ideological basis of parties around the world who sympathized with the Communist Party of China ( such as the Communist Party of the Philippines, Marxist – Leninist / Mao Zedong Thought, founded by Jose Maria Sison in 1968 ).

The appellation " Marxist – Leninist " is often used by those not familiar with communist ideology in any detail ( e. g. many newspapers and other media ) as a synonym for any kind of Marxism.

What it be if this cause encompassed the dynamism of an Islamic movement, something much stronger than those with a Marxist, Leninist, or Maoist character?

Initially adopting a traditionalist Leninist party organization, together with a vanguard cadre from its labour-leaning faction in 1958, the PAP Executive later expelled the leftist faction, bringing the ideological basis of the party into the centre, and later in the 1960s, moving further to the right.

These occurrences shocked Mao, who had supported Stalin ideologically and politically, because Khrushchev was dismantling Mao ’ s support of the USSR with public rejections of most of Stalin ’ s leadership and actions — such as announcing the end of the Cominform, and ( most troubling to Mao ), de-emphasising the core Marxist – Leninist thesis of inevitable war between capitalism and socialism.

Anyone who opposed these conceptions was silenced or expelled, breaking with the basic Leninist principle of inner-party democracy.

The Leninist Trotskyist Tendency successfully worked to convince the international majority that it had previously supported guerrilla struggles with a mistaken orientation.

Although the Leninist thesis of an avant-garde party composed of professional revolutionaries didn't break that much with the Socialist-Revolutionary organization, it did make completely individual acts of propaganda of the deed less relevant.

In 1948, the Communist regime that had taken power adhered to Marxist – Leninist atheism and at Stalin's request, deposed all 12 bishops of the Greek-Catholic Church and, on October 21, 1948, the 250th anniversary of the Romanian Greek Catholic Union with the Roman Catholic Church, arranged the " spontaneous " passage of all its members ( decree 358 / 1948 ), who were then some 1, 500, 000 in numbers, to the Romanian Orthodox Church, to which some of its property, including four cathedrals, were given, while the rest was confiscated by the State.

In the 1930s, Hashomer Hatzair ( along with Mapai ) was affiliated with the left-wing " Three-and-a-half " International, the International Revolutionary Marxist Centre ( also known as the " London Bureau ") rather than the more mainstream socialist Labour and Socialist International or the Leninist Third International.

Despite its origins in the NCP, The Leninist advanced sharp criticisms of the Soviet Union and the Eastern bloc countries, while strongly opposing movements it considered to be in support of capitalism.

Hence, the purpose of the Leninist vanguard party is to establish a democratic dictatorship of the proletariat ; supported by the working class, the vanguard party would lead the revolution to depose the incumbent Tsarist government, and then transfer power of government to the working class, which change of ruling class — from bourgeoisie to proletariat — makes possible the full development of socialism.

The emerging Soviet leaders sought to establish a new order and understanding of equality based on Marxist – Leninist ideology.

Although the constitution did not establish the vanguard role of the KSČ within the Czechoslovak state and government administration under the Leninist principle of democratic centralism ( these were provisions only of the following " socialist " 1960 Constitution of Czechoslovakia ), it confirmed the KSČ had in Czechoslovakia the absolute power, just as other Communist parties in Communist countries.

They emphasized the party's attachment to the anti-colonial struggle and sought to establish it as a democratic mass movement rather than the restricted Marxist-Leninist vanguard organisation which a close adherence to Leninist principles might have dictated.
