It lies on two major Roman roads: the Fosse Way from Lincoln to Seaton, and the Dorchester – Exeter road.

Lincoln lies within Kansas's 1st U. S. Congressional District.

Lincoln Charter Township lies directly to the west.

The village lies within Lincoln Township.

Clarkson lies 35 miles southeast of Norfolk, Nebraska ; 35 miles northeast of Columbus, Nebraska ; 85 miles northwest of Omaha, Nebraska ; and 90 miles northwest of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Howells lies 40 miles southeast of Norfolk, Nebraska, 40 miles northeast of Columbus, Nebraska, 40 miles northwest of Fremont, Nebraska, 80 miles northwest of Omaha, Nebraska and 85 miles north of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Beaverdam lies at the junction of the old Lincoln Highway and the Dixie Highway.

Located on the Deep Fork River in eastern Lincoln County and five miles ( 8 km ) east of State Highway 18 on State Highway 18B, Sparks lies between Meeker and Chandler.

Exton lies at the intersection of U. S. Route 30 ( formerly the Lancaster Road, and later the Lincoln Highway ) and Pennsylvania Route 100 ( Pottstown Pike ).

The rail links in the area are also good, Worksop lies on the Sheffield-Lincoln line, this takes travellers to places such as Sheffield, Doncaster, Meadowhall, Lincoln, Retford, Gainsborough and Shireoaks.

The Newark Castle railway station lies on the Leicester – Nottingham – Lincoln line providing cross-country regional links.

It lies in parts of Blaine, Butte, Lincoln, Minidoka, and Power counties.

Scunthorpe lies on an escarpment of ridged land ( the Lincoln Cliff ) which slopes down towards the Trent.

In terms of general location it lies a mile east of the River Trent, south of the Humber Estuary, west of the Lincolnshire Wolds and north of Lincoln.

The reservation lies on numerous non-contiguous parcels of land in east-central Lincoln County, mostly east of the city of Siletz.

The ballpark lies on the northeast corner of the Sports Complex, which includes Lincoln Financial Field, Wells Fargo Center, and Xfinity Live!

It lies east of Leeds, south-west of Hull and north north-east of the county town of Lincoln.

In a letter to the regimental surgeon, Lincoln Stone, Frank Shaw wrote :" We would not have his body removed from where it lies surrounded by his brave and devoted soldiers .... It lies just off the Fosse Way Roman road, now the A46, south-west of Lincoln and west of Aubourn.

It is not known to which bishop this refers though as the village lies within the ancient diocese of Lincoln it presumedly denotes property owned by the Bishop of Lincoln.

The observatory lies in New Mexico at the southern end of NM Scenic Byway 6563, about 18 miles ( by car ) south of Cloudcroft ( on NM 82 ), and 40 miles southeast ( by car ) from Alamogordo ( on NM 70 and 54 ), in the village of Sunspot inside of the Lincoln National Forest.

It lies on the River Rase northeast of Lincoln, east of Gainsborough and southwest of Grimsby.

With almost no support in the South, Lincoln swept the North and was elected president in 1860.
