* De incarnationis Dominicae sacramento ( On the Sacrament of the Incarnation of the Lord )

Lord Herbert of Cherbury ( 1583 – 1648 ) is generally considered the " father of English Deism ," and his book De Veritate ( 1624 ) the first major statement of deism.

In 1642, when Lord Herbert of Cherbury's De Veritate was published, the Thirty Years War had been raging on continental Europe for nearly 25 years.

Lord Edward Herbert of Cherbury ( d. 1648 ) is generally considered the " father of English deism ", and his book De Veritate ( On Truth, as It Is Distinguished from Revelation, the Probable, the Possible, and the False ) ( 1624 ) the first major statement of deism.

Lord De L ' Isle was Secretary of State for Air in Winston Churchill's Cabinet 1951 – 55.

Besides these, as Sylvester II he wrote a dogmatic treatise, De corpore et sanguine Domini — On the Body and Blood of the Lord.

During most of the 19th-century in fact, the term " tennis " referred to real tennis, not lawn tennis: for example, in Disraeli's novel Sybil ( 1845 ), Lord Eugene De Vere announces that he will " go down to Hampton Court and play tennis.

It is thus designated in several medieval texts mentioned by the Bollandists ( e. g. an old Missal of Augsburg has a Mass " De S. Veronica seu Vultus Domini ") of (" Saint Veronica, or the Face of the Lord "), and Matthew of Westminster speaks of the imprint of the image of the Savior which is called Veronica: " Effigies Domenici vultus quae Veronica nuncupatur " (" effigy of the face of the Lord which is called a Veronica ").

Daley attended the elementary school of his parish, Nativity of Our Lord, and De La Salle Institute ( where he learned clerical skills ) and took night classes at DePaul University College of Law to earn a Juris Doctor in 1933.

Attempting to following him, Samuel Argall, an English explorer, was blown off course in 1610 and landed in a strange bay that he named after the Governor of Virginia, Thomas West, Lord De La Warr.

After the Powhatans killed the colony's Council President, Lord Ratcliffe, and attacked the colony in the first First Anglo-Powhatan War, Lord De La Warr headed the contingent of 150 men who landed in Jamestown, Virginia on June 10, 1610, just in time to persuade the original settlers not to give up and go home to England.

Leaving his deputy Sir Samuel Argall ( circa 1580 – circa 1626 ) in charge, Lord De La Warr returned to England and published a book about Virginia, The Relation of the Right Honourable the Lord De-La-Warre, of the Colonie, Planted in Virginia, in 1611.

He remained the nominal governor, and he had received complaints from the Virginia settlers about Argall's tyranny in governing them for him, so Lord De La Warr set sail for Virginia again in 1618, to investigate those charges.

The first Lord of the Manor was Walter Giffard ; it passed to Hugh, Earl of Chester, who then left it to the De Vaux family.

One of them was the former guardian and Lord Chief Justice Magnus De La Gardie, who among many other estates had to return the extravagant 248-room large Läckö Castle.

De Brome's foundation was confirmed in a charter of 21 January 1326, in which the Crown, represented by the Lord Chancellor, was to exercise the rights of Visitor ; a further charter drawn up in May of that year gave the rights of Visitor to Henry Burghersh, Bishop of Lincoln, Oxford at that time being part of the diocese of Lincoln.

In 1772 when the territory was under Spanish rule, the militia constructed La Iglesia de la Ascensión de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo de Lafourche de los Chetimaches ( the Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church of Lafourche of the Chitimaches ) to serve the area.

The house is often said to be directly inspired by Palladio's Villa Capra " La Rotonda " near Vicenza, due to the fact that architect Colen Campbell had offered Lord Burlington a design for a Villa very closely based on the Villa Capra for his use at Chiswick.

He also wrote the extensive cycles La Nativité du Seigneur (" The Nativity of the Lord ") and Les corps glorieux (" The glorious bodies ").

In the British Parliament, Lord Germain sided with La Corne.

Argall also brought news that the ( South ) Virginia Company of London was being reorganized and was sending more supplies and settlers to Jamestown along with a new governor, Lord De la Warr.

He also alleged that Dr. John Woodall had bought some Polish settlers as slaves, selling them on to Lord de La Warr.

The colonists at Jamestown were saved only by the timely arrival of a supply mission headed by Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr, better known as " Lord Delaware ", less than 3 weeks later.

Chaired by Lord De La Warr, President of the Board of Education, the Council was government-funded and after the war was renamed the Arts Council of Great Britain.

He may have married three times, firstly to Elizabeth Herbert, 3rd Baroness Herbert, daughter of William Herbert, 2nd Earl of Pembroke, 2nd Baron Herbert, secondly to Elizabeth West, daughter of Sir Thomas West, 8th Baron de la Warr, and thirdly to Eleanor Sutton, daughter of Edward Sutton, 2nd Lord Dudley.

Lord Salisbury's second marriage on 29 April 1847 was to Lady Mary Catherine Sackville-West, daughter of George Sackville-West, 5th Earl De La Warr and Elizabeth Sackville-West, Countess De La Warr, with whom he had five children:

English explorer Samuel Argall explored the bay and named it for the governor of the Virginia Colony, Lord De La Warr.

When Lord De La Warr was appointed governor in 1737, he was reinstated.

Lord de la Warr soon arrived bringing supplies to save the struggling colony.

In October 1610, Lord De La Warr ordered Captain Yeardley and Captain Edward Brewster to lead 150 men into the mountains in search of silver and gold mines.

When he returned to England, Lord de la Warr wrote a book, The Relation of the Right Honourable the Lord De-La-Warre, of the Colonie, Planted in Virginia, and remained nominally the Royal Governor until his death in 1618.
