His daughter Anne ( 1839 – 1889 ) married William, Lord Plunket in 1863.

William Conygham Plunket, Lord Chancellor of Ireland

William Conyngham Plunket, 1st Baron Plunket PC ( Ire ) ( 1 July 1764 – 5 January 1854 ) was an Irish politician and lawyer who eventually became Lord Chancellor of Ireland.

His parents were William, 4th Lord Plunket, the archbishop of Dublin in 1884-97, and his wife Anne, the daughter of Sir Benjamin Guinness.

Having succeeded his father as fifth Baron Plunket in 1897, Plunket three years later became private secretary to Lord Cadogan, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland at the time, and fulfilled the same role for his successor, Lord Dudley.

In 1876, Lord Plunket ( as he became on succeeding his father in 1871 ) was consecrated Bishop of Meath, and in 1884 he was finally appointed Archbishop of Dublin, an office he held until his death.
