The sports teams at Loyola Blakefield have been historically successful, most notably in football, lacrosse, swimming, basketball, and cross-country.

The Loyola Warriors were the Canadian Interuniversity Athletics Union teams that represented Loyola College in Montreal, Quebec.

Loyola High School remained in existence after the merger, and had adopted the name Warriors for its senior sports teams.

In 1967, however, Sister McKay, President of Marymount College, received permission from Cardinal McIntyre to begin affiliation with Loyola University on Loyola ’ s Westchester campus.

The library was founded together with the Roman College by Ignatius Loyola.

The college also maintains close relations with the nearby Church of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
