Anne Frances Robbins was born on July 6, 1921, at Manhattan's Sloane Hospital for Women in New York, as the only child of car salesman Kenneth Seymour Robbins ( 1894 – 1972 ) and his actress wife, Edith Luckett ( 1888 – 1987 ).

For the 2nd season, Luckett was cast in the HBO drama series Treme.

In January 2000, in the midst of the success of The Writing's on the Wall, Roberson and member LeToya Luckett tried to make a break with manager Mathew Knowles because they claimed he favored his daughter Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland and was retaining too much of the group's profits.

In 2012 LaTavia has focused on a modelling career, and has done interviews ( which can be seen on YouTube ) and has now made a new Twitter (@ LaTaviaMarie ), and has also confirmed she has wrote her book and is looking for ' it to be in the right hands ', as she is looking for a publisher-after not being in the lime-light too often, LaTavia, on the 8th May with former bandmate & close friend LeToya Luckett, met one of the bandmates who replaced her ( whom already hung out with LeToya ) Michelle Williams for the first time ever, tweeting that it was nice meeting each other and it was one of LaTavia's greatest nights of her life.

Luckett released a second solo album, Lady Love on 25 August 2009, which debuted at No. 1 on the U. S. Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums chart and also as No. 12 on the U. S. Billboard 200 chart.

Luckett has also made a name for herself as an actress.

In 2007, LaTavia along with other Destiny's Child past member former bandmate LeToya Luckett and also Farrah Franklin ( whom replaced LaTavia however left the group too ) appeared in Boulevard of Broken Dreams telling their side of the story about what happened during their time with Destiny's Child.
