Maharishi Dayanand University in Rohtak city was established in 1976.

Lord Brahma got angry and wanted to punish Maharishi but Maha Saraswati, wife of Lord Brahma saved Maharishi from his anger.

It is after this incident that Maharishi Bhrigu decided to write famous book of astrology, the Bhrigu Samhita, with the blessings of Lord Ganesha and Maha Saraswati, to help Brahmins earn their living.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi became a disciple and assistant of Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, the Shankaracharya ( spiritual leader ) of Jyotirmath in the Indian Himalayas.

More recently, the work of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Shirdi Sai Baba, Sathya Sai Baba, Swami Muktananda, Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati, Swami Dayananda Saraswati, Shriram Sharma Acharya, Pramukh Swami Maharaj, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and Mata Amritanandamayi has inspired millions to create new centers of spiritual development.

His disciples included Swami Shantānand Saraswati, Transcendental Meditation founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Swāmī Swarūpānanda Saraswatī and Swami Karpatri.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi created the Brahmananda Saraswati Trust, in honour of Saraswati, to support 30, 000 peace-creating Vedic Pandits across India.

In 1971 Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ( January 12, 1918 – February 5, 2008 ) introduced Transcendental Meditation ( also known as TM ) at a former popular resort called Hobergs.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ( Sanskrit ) ( 12 January 1918 – 5 February 2008 ), born Mahesh Prasad Varma, developed the Transcendental Meditation technique and was the leader and guru of the Transcendental Meditation movement characterized in multiple ways including as a new religious movement and as non-religious.

It was formed in late 1998 as the political wing of the Maharishi Vedic Vishwa Prashasan ( MVVP ( Maharishi Global Administration Through Natural Law )), which had nominated thirty-four candidates in the February 1998 parliamentary election from Madhya Pradesh.

As work on the album began in February 1968, Mike Love, who had learned Transcendental Meditation ( TM ) in December 1967, departed on a two week trip to India ( alongside The Beatles and Donovan ) to study TM further with his new master, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

In October of that year, in California, the Maharishi began teaching the first Advanced Technique of Transcendental Meditation to some experienced meditators.

The Raam was launched on October 26, 2001 and is the concept of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the Transcendental Meditation technique and the Global Country of World Peace.

The Natural Law Party ( NLP ) was a transnational party based on the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

The Maharishi was said to be " keenly interested " in building a political base in his native province.

Bevan Morris, president of Maharishi University of Management ( then called " Maharishi International University "), was the founding chairman of the party, which was founded April 22, 1992, in Fairfield, Iowa.

John Hagelin, a 37-year old physics professor at Maharishi University of Management ( MUM ), was the NLP candidate for president of the United States in the 1992.

TM became more popular in the 1960s and 1970s, as the Maharishi shifted to a more scientific presentation and his meditation technique was practiced by celebrities.

By the late 2000s, TM had been taught to millions of individuals and the Maharishi was overseeing a large multinational movement.

The fair was visited by many of the most notable people of the day including Queen Elizabeth II, Lyndon Johnson, Princess Grace, Jacqueline Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Ethiopia's emperor Haile Selassie, Charles de Gaulle, Bing Crosby, Harry Belafonte, Maurice Chevalier, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and Marlene Dietrich.

The album was written and recorded during a period of turmoil for the group, after visiting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India and having a particularly productive songwriting session in early 1968.

In a 1980 interview, Lennon acknowledged that the Maharishi was the inspiration for the song: " I just called him ' Sexy Sadie '.

Maharishi Bhrigu () was one of the seven great sages, the Saptarshis, in ancient India, one of the many Prajapatis ( the facilitators of Creation ) created by Brahma ( The God of Creation ), the first compiler of predictive astrology, and also the author of Bhrigu Samhita, the astrological ( Jyotish ) classic written during the Vedic period, Treta yuga.

The Bhrigu Samhita is an astrological ( jyotish ) classic attributed to Maharishi Bhrigu during the Vedic period, although the available evidence suggests that it was compiled over a period of time by the various sishyas ( students in the lineage ) of Maharishi Bhrigu.

Maharishi Bhrigu was the first compiler of predictive astrology, Jyotisha.

Maharishi Bhrigu was also present there.

With the consent of all the great saints present there, it was decided that Maharishi Bhrigu will test and decide who was pre-eminent.
