From the Tanjung Puteri Customs Complex / Jalan Sultan Ibrahim to Jalan Tebrau ( Tebrau Highway ), this 500 metre section links the Malaysia-Singapore commercial vehicles customs complex to Tebrau Highway, one of the two major arterial highways into the city.

On February 8, 2010, a Freedom Airlines Embraer ERJ-145 performing flight F8-6121 / DL-6121 to Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Airport on behalf of Delta Air Lines with 46 passengers and 3 crew, rejected takeoff from Charleston at high speed and came to a safe stop about 400 feet ( 122 meters ) short of the runway end.

The jet age came to Legazpi in the late 1960s and by the ' 70s Philippine Airlines ( PAL ) introduced regular service to / from Manila using British Aircraft Corporation's BAC 1-11's.
