Over the years the city's best football team has been Malmö FF who play in the top level Allsvenskan.

He went on to make 23 appearances in the 1986 – 87 season, including a European debut against Malmö FF in the 1986 – 87 European Cup Winners ' Cup, earning him praise.

Rangers lost 2 – 1 on aggregate to Swedish side Malmö FF in the Champions League third round qualifying match, and were then knocked out of Europe after losing 3 – 2 on aggregate in the Europa League qualifying match against Slovenian side Maribor.

The inaugural match took place on 18 April 1937 when AIK played against Malmö FF, AIK won the match 4 – 0.

The last game were against Malmö FF, who had gone undefeated for 49 games.

This however meant that Malmö FF advanced to the first place of the All-time Allsvenskan table, a position previously held by AIK.

After this, however, AIK started to win, and in the last game of the league, away to Malmö FF, a draw would most certainly be enough to win the league title.

Despite this, the team produced a great finish to a season, that already included impressive victories over eternal rivals IFK Göteborg, Malmö FF as well as champions Helsingborg.

Though Haifa was a seeded team for the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round, it drew the strong Swedish club, Malmö FF.

Prior to the 2008 – 09 season, FCB added to their squad by signing defenders Behrang Safari from Malmö FF and David Abraham from Gimnàstic de Tarragona, and midfielders Jürgen Gjasula and Marcos Gelabert from FC St. Gallen.

The Malmö Redhawks is an ice hockey club from Malmö, Sweden.

The team was founded on 28 February 1972 when the ice hockey section of the Swedish sports club Malmö FF became an own club.

In April 2012, club owner Hugo Stenbeck announced that he would not spend any more money on the Malmö Redhawks, as he had already spent 61, 8 million SEK for the 2011 – 12 season, which exceeded the agreed total amount for all three seasons.

LdB FC Malmö ( formerly Malmö FF Dam ) is a professional football club based in Malmö, Scania, Sweden.

On the 7th of September 1970 the board of Malmö FF took the decision to start a women's team as part of the main club.

The team was called Malmö FF Dam — the word dam meaning lady — to distinguish the team from the men's division of the same club.

This meant that the club fully withdrew from Malmö FF and became a club of its own.

He is most famous for taking Swedish club Malmö FF to the 1979 European Cup Final, where they lost to Nottingham Forest.
