In April 2012, club owner Hugo Stenbeck announced that he would not spend any more money on the Malmö Redhawks, as he had already spent 61, 8 million SEK for the 2011 – 12 season, which exceeded the agreed total amount for all three seasons.

The agreement confirmed that Stenbeck had correctly followed up the initial investment agreements with Malmö Redhawks.
