After the album was released, the band arrived in England to support Throwing Muses on the European " Sex and Death " tour — beginning at the Mean Fiddler in London.

During 2004 and early 2005 the surviving Faces had several near-reunions, none of which featured more than three members at the same time: In May 2004 Kenney Jones and Ronnie Wood joined Ian McLagan on stage at his concert at The Mean Fiddler in London.

In July 2006, it was reported that MAMA, the management group behind the Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinand and headed by Mean Fiddler chief Dean James, had bid for the group.

For the first time since its creation, the band played at a UK show at The Mean Fiddler in London, supported by DragonForce, and later joined Finnish band Nightwish for the Japanese dates in March.

On 13 August 2007, Festival Republic sold most of its venues and the rights to the name Mean Fiddler to the MAMA group, however it retained The Astoria and Mean Fiddler, which reverted to its old name of The Astoria 2, generally known as the LA2 ( London Astoria 2 ).

The festivals are run by Festival Republic, which was divested from Mean Fiddler Music Group.

Their last gig, with a line-up of Regan, Cousin, Haimi and Savigear, was at the Mean Fiddler in London on 30 April 2004, at the end of a British tour ; this was filmed and copies of the performance were made available through a fan website.

The group was founded in 1982 by chairman Vince Power, with a venue called simply Mean Fiddler.

After acquiring the LA2 ( now known as the Astoria2 ) in Charing Cross Road in 2000, it was renamed to become the Mean Fiddler Music Group.

In 2006, the Mean Fiddler Music Group reduced its touring and promotion activities to concentrate on running festivals.

In 2007, the Mean Fiddler Music Group was sold along with several venues to Mama Group Plc in order to allow Festival Republic to concentrate fully on promoting festivals.

As part of the sale, the Mama Group has acquired the rights to the Mean Fiddler trademark.

Grind released one 12 " single in 1991 on the small " Whats In It For Me Records " label and gigged around London at venues such as The Rock Garden and The Brain and also supported Beverley Craven at the Mean Fiddler.

Notable among such venues are The Mean Fiddler in Rouse Hill and The Bull and Bush in Baulkham Hills, both of which are heritage listed properties.

On 26 May 2006 the band reformed with the full line-up of thirteen members, to play at the Mean Fiddler on Charing Cross Road in London, in support of their forthcoming Best Of album.

G-A-Y is associated with G-A-Y Bar and G-A-Y Late, both of which were also owned by Mean Fiddler Holdings Limited and operate in Soho.
