Lloyd Webber has made many recordings, including his BRIT Award winning Elgar Cello Concerto conducted by Yehudi Menuhin ( chosen as the finest ever version by BBC Music Magazine ), the Dvořák Cello Concerto with Václav Neumann and the Czech Philharmonic, Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations with the London Symphony Orchestra under Maxim Shostakovich and a coupling of Britten's Cello Symphony and Walton's Cello Concerto with Sir Neville Marriner and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, which was described by Gramophone magazine as " beyond any rival ".

Congresswoman Abzug was married to Martin Abzug, whom she met on a bus in Miami on the way to a concert by Yehudi Menuhin, from 1944 until his death in 1986.

In 1990 Menuhin was the first conductor for the Asian Youth Orchestra which toured around Asia, including Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong with Julian Lloyd Webber and a group of young talented musicians from all over Asia.

Introduced only as " Mr. Menuhin ," he performed two violin solos, " Ave Maria " and " Flight of the Bumble Bee " for an audience of servicemen, volunteer hostesses and celebrities from stage and screen.

Goossens commissioned a number of works for the oboe from such distinguished composers as Sir Edward Elgar, Ralph Vaughan Williams and Rutland Boughton and collaborated extensively with other prominent soloists such as Yehudi Menuhin.

Boulanger taught in the US and England, working with music academies including the Juilliard School, the Yehudi Menuhin School, the Longy School, the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, but her principal base for most of her life was her family's flat in Paris, where she taught for most of the seven decades from the start of her career until her death at the age of 92.

At that time, he learned from Zoltan Kodaly, Ernö Dohnányi, Rudolf Maros, Sándor Weöres, Fencers Csorba, Zoltan Jékely, József Soproni, Sándor Szokolay, Darius Milhaud and Yehudi Menuhin.

In 1983 he founded the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists in Folkestone, Kent.

Yehudi Menuhin was married twice.

Menuhin and Gould had two sons, Gerard and Jeremy, a pianist.

Soon after his death, the Royal Academy of Music acquired the Yehudi Menuhin Archive, one of the most comprehensive collections ever assembled by an individual musician.

Menuhin used a number of famous violins including the Giovanni Bussetto 1680, the Giovanni Grancino 1695, the Guarneri filius Andrea 1703, the Soil Stradivarius, the Prince Khevenhüller 1733 Stradivari, the Guarneri del Gesù 1739, and the Lord Wilton 1742 Guarneri del Gesù.

Yehudi Menuhin was also ' meant ' to appear on The Morecambe and Wise Show but could not do so as he was ' opening at the Argyl Theatre, Birkenhead in Old King Cole.

He left in 1490, possibly to work under Martin Schongauer, the leading engraver of Northern Europe, but who died shortly before Dürer's arrival at Colmar in 1492.

In Lewis's 2005 book Dean and Me ( A Love Story ), Lewis wrote of his kinship with Martin, who died in 1995.

After her husband died in 1901, Woodhull Martin gave up publishing and retired to the country, establishing residence at Bredon's Norton.
