Although there is no verifiable evidence of her having an affair, one of her alleged lovers was George " Bay " Middleton, a dashing Anglo-Scot.

It is the oldest surviving railway company in the world ( although not the oldest working-a record which goes to the Middleton Railway ), having been founded by the Act of Parliament on 23 May 1832 with capital mostly raised in Dublin by Henry Archer, the company's first secretary and managing director.

On the 30th of October 2009, June Middleton of Melbourne, Australia, who had been entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the person who spent the longest time in an iron lung, died aged 83, having spent more than 60 years in her iron lung.

The editors of the Oxford Shakespeare, having concluded that Middleton and Shakespeare were jointly responsible for the play, assign the play to 1605, on the basis of previous analyses of colloquialism-in-verse and rare vocabulary.

These included Katherine Mansfield and John Middleton Murry who were having an affair and lodged next door at The Gables as did Mark Gertler who between 1915 – 16 painted Gilbert Cannan at his Mill depicting Cannan outside the Mill with his two dogs.

In London, John Middleton was presented to the King in a costume of large lace ruffs about his face and hands ; a striped doublet of crimson and white ; a blue girdle embroidered with gold ; large plush white breeches with powdered blue flowers ; green stockings ; broad shoes in a light colour, having high red heels and tied with large bows of red ribbon and just below his knees were bandages of the same colour with large bows and by his side a sword was suspended by a broad belt over his shoulder.

He was suspected of having an agent with the king and of intriguing in England as well, and on 30 Dec. 1654 Charles wrote from Cologne, thanking him for his constancy to Middleton in all his distresses, acknowledging his good service upon the rebels, and promising future rewards.

His enemy Middleton having been disgraced, he was freed by an order from John Leslie, 1st Duke of Rothes, without a warrant but on private instructions ; at the same time, through the intercession of Lauderdale, his death sentence was rescinded.

Middleton also describes Tib Street as " a perfectly adorable street, where natural history was taught by living examples ... birds, dogs, rabbits, poultry displayed in the windows or outside the shops ", a tradition which continued for at least a hundred years, having only recently died out with the closing of the last surviving pet shops.

This was something of a reciprocal deal, with Middleton having covered King Creosote's " Margerita Red " on his 2008 album, " Sleight of Heart "

Samuel Bamford led a group from his native Middleton, Greater Manchester | Middleton to St Peter's Field.

Samuel Bamford, a local radical who led the Middleton contingent to the assembly, wrote that " It was deemed expedient that this meeting should be as morally effective as possible, and, that it should exhibit a spectacle such as had never before been witnessed in England.

In August 1819, Bamford led a group from Middleton to St Peter's Fields, to attend a meeting pressing for parliamentary reform and the repeal of the Corn Laws, where they witnessed the Peterloo Massacre.

This work led to an attack from the Catholic side by Richard Challoner, in the preface to The Catholic Christian instructed in the Sacraments, Sacrifice and Ceremonies of the Church ( 1737 ); Challoner in particular accused Middleton of misrepresenting the articles of the Tridentine Creed that applied to saints and images.

This has led to Middleton being considered as the western hub of a proposed, albeit controversial, railroad corridor connecting Middleton's Greenway Station, the University of Wisconsin – Madison campus, downtown Madison, and Madison's far east side.

The success of the two-part series called " House of Horrors " produced by Kate Middleton, led not only to the ITV series " House of Horrors " and to the BBC's " Rogue Traders " but to a whole new genre of programming, around the world, based around hidden camera footage of dodgy tradesmen.

Shortly before 7: 30 a. m., Middleton led his new regiment into enemy-held territory using a tactic called " marching fire ," where all of the troops constantly fired their weapons while moving a mile through heavy woods.

The vast majority landed on the banks of the Saskatchewan River in the area of Batoche and Duck Lake where armed resistance led to the Métis defeat at the battle of Batoche in 1885 when Riel surrendered to General Middleton ’ s soldiers.

This and a combination of the highly polluted, dirty and derelict environment of Middleton, gradually led to the site's depopulation, to a point where by the late 1980s the only inhabited part was a surviving pub.

When the U. S. Air Force closed down its maintenance depots at the former Brookley AFB in Mobile, Alabama and the former Olmsted AFB in Middleton Township, Pennsylvania, Robins AFB assumed the workload of these depots.
