Berlin was born in Mir, Russia in 1816 into a family of Jewish scholars renowned for its Talmudic scholarship.

Today Mir has little industry and is no longer an internationally renowned center of Jewish learning or Roma horse trade.

Mir Qamar-ud-din Khan displayed considerable skill as a warrior and before he reached his teens began accompanying his father into battle.

Upon reaching Dün Mir, the warrior characters must go through the Gauntlet, a labyrinth full of monsters, to prove their skills to the Warlord Horrendous and gain the rank of a " Fire Knight ".

Khan Alam soon returned with valuable gifts and groups of Mir Shikar ( Hunt Masters ) from both Safavid Persia and even the Khanates of Central Asia.

In 1948, the Khan of Qalat, Mir Ahmad Yar Khan, decided to join Pakistan on request of Muhammad Ali Jinnah ( founder of Pakistan ), and decision was made that defence, currency, foreign office and finance will be controlled by federal govt.

The current Khan of Qalat is Mir Suleman Dawood Khan.

Mohammad Daoud Khan, the President of the Republic of Afghanistan from 1973 to 1978, was ousted during the Saur Revolution ( April Revolution ) following the death of Mir Akbar Khyber, a Parchamite politician from the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan ( PDPA ) who died under mysterious circumstances.

Mir Muhammad Shah son of Sultan Shah escaped and retired to Tang i Nau from whence later he attacked Faizabad, put to death his youngest brother Nasarullah Khan Chief of that place under Government of Kabul, and took the Kingdom.

Throwing off his allegiance to Kabul when Timur Shah Durrani was marching against Sindh and Kashmir, Mizrab Bi grandson of Muhammad Bi ( old Chief of Kunduz ) uniting with Chief of Kubab attacked Kabad Khan, seized him and gave him to Mir Muhammad Shah who put him to death to avenge his father Mir Muhammad Shah returned to Badakhshan to find throne occupied by Bahadur Shah son of a former Chief who had taken Faizabad during captivity of Mir Muhammad Shah in Kunduz.

The territory Mir Muhammad Shah divided as follows Iskashim was given to Mir Khan ; Rushan to Shah Wali and Warduj to Mahmud Khan brother of Mir Ahmad Beg Kataghan.

In fact Badakhshan was now contested by again by Mir Yar Beg, Sikandar Shah, Shahzada Mahmud, Abdul Ghazi Khan and Shah Suliman Beg who were in exile at Tashkurghan under protection of Mir Wali.

He then wrote to Mir Atalik Beg, Chief of Kunduz, requesting his aid against Yusuf Ali Khan and Mir Shah to drive them out of Rustak.

Mir Shah, chief of Badakhshan and his feudatory of Rustak went to wait on Muhammad Azam Khan ( son of Dost Muhammad Khan ) with presents and offer of submission.

Shah Mir was the First Muslim ruler of Kashmir and the founder of the Swati dynasty named after him.

Shah Mir was succeeded by his eldest son Jamshid, but he was deposed by his brother Ali Sher probably within few months, who ascended the throne under the name of Alauddin Following the Shahmiri Dynasty, was the Chak Dynasty that ruled until Mughal conquest in 1586.

Yuri Gidzenko served aboard Mir as the commander of the long duration Mir EO-20 ( Euromir 95 ) expedition from September 3, 1995 to February 29, 1996, and logged 179 days in space.

Dezhurov served as the Mir E )- 18 commander.

He performed six spacewalks during his stay on board the Mir Space Station and performed another internal spacewalk during his visit to the ISS as the commander of the Expedition 2.

In 2001 the PPF leader and Muslim Mujahedin chief commander Ghulam Nabi Mir was killed.

In 1757 Mir Jafar, the commander in chief of the army of the Nawab of Bengal, along with Jagat Seth, Maharaja Krishna Nath, Umi Chand and some others, secretly connived with the British, asking support to overthrow the Nawab in return for trade grants.

After successfully completing a Research Cosmonaut training course at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in present-day Russia, Akiyama launched aboard the Soyuz TM-11 mission to the Mir space station on December 2, 1990 along with mission commander Viktor Afanasyev and flight engineer Musa Manarov.

Yuri Gidzenko was designated commander and pilot of the two-day Soyuz mission to the station, had one previous spaceflight, which was a 180 day stay aboard Mir.
