As a result of the Local Governance ( Scotland ) Act 2004, the town is now represented on the council by two Wards, represented by three Councillors each: Billy Hendry ( CON ), Anne McNair ( SNP ) and Una Walker ( LAB ) in Bishopbriggs North & Torrance, with Alan Moir ( LAB ), Gordan Low ( SNP ) and Michael O ' Donnell ( LAB ) in Bishopbriggs South.
