Their biggest Motown hit was 1972's # 1 R & B /# 2 pop hit " Neither One of Us ( Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye )", which won the 1973 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance By A Duo, Group Or Chorus.

Motown began celebrating its fiftieth anniversary ( January 12, 2009 ) in late 2008, including the release of a The Complete No. 1's box set containing Motown # 1 hits from Billboard's pop, R & B, and disco charts, reissues of classic-era Motown albums on CD, and other planned events, which were released in collaboration with Universal Music Group's catalog division Universal Music Enterprises.

Another album followed later that same year, Longplay Album-Volume II ( US title: Stars on Long Play II, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand: Stars on 45-The Album-Volume 2 ) featuring medleys using the songs of ABBA, a # 2 hit in the UK and Motown, US # 55.
