Muslim rule in the subcontinent began in 8th century CE when the Arab general Muhammad bin Qasim conquered Sindh and Multan in southern Punjab in modern day Pakistan, setting the stage for several successive invasions from Central Asia between the 10th and 15th centuries CE, leading to the formation of Muslim empires in the Indian subcontinent such as the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal Empire.

In 712 CE an Arab Muslim general called Muhammad bin Qasim conquered most of the Indus region in modern day Pakistan, for the Umayyad empire, to be made the " As-Sindh " province with its capital at Al-Mansurah, north of modern Hyderabad in Sindh, Pakistan.

It was later known to the Arabs as Debal from where Muhammad bin Qasim led his conquering force into South Asia in 712 AD

In the year 712, Muhammad bin Qasim, an Umayyad general sailed from the khaleej into Sindh in Pakistan and conquered both the Sindh and the Punjab regions along the Indus river.

The movement developed as a reaction to British colonialism in India, which was believed by a group of prominent Indian scholars consisting of Rashid Ahmad Gangohi, Muhammad Yaqub Nanautawi, Shah Rafi al-Din, Sayyid Muhammad Abid, Zulfiqar Ali, Fadhl al-Rahman Usmani and Muhammad Qasim Nanotvi to be corrupting the Islamic religion.

Buddhism declined when the dynasties patronizing it declined, following White Hun and the early Arab Islamic invasions such as that of Muhammad bin Qasim.

Abbas ' painting ateliers ( of the Isfahan school established under his patronage ) created some of the finest art in modern Iranian history, by such illustrious painters as Reza Abbasi, Muhammad Qasim and others.

Historian James Saslow interprets the portrait by Muhammad Qasim as showing that the Muslim taboo against wine, as well as that against male intimacy, " were more honored in the breach than in the observance ".

In A. H. 219 ( 834 – 835 ) Muhammad ibn Qasim ( al-Alawi ) rebelled in Khurasan.

It was founded in 1866 by several prominent Islamic scholars ( Ulema ), headed by Maulana Muhammad Qasim Nanotvi.

In this situation, a group of learned theologians, led by Maulana Muhammad Qasim Nanautawi, established the Darul ‘ Uloom Seminary in the town of Deoband, in order to preserve Indo-Islamic culture and train the youth in Islamic knowledge.

His name would be Muhammad and his family name would be Abul Qasim, his father's name would be ‘ Abdu ’ llah than Hassan, and he would appear in Mecca.

Examples of this include the cases of Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah ( according to the Kaysanites Shia ), Muhammad ibn Abdallah An-Nafs Az-Zakiyya, Musa al-Kadhim ( according to the Waqifite Shia ), Muhammad ibn Qasim ( al-Alawi ), Yahya ibn Umar and Muhammad ibn Ali al-Hadi ( according to the Muhammadite Shia ).

Firishta mentions the fort in an account of the rebellion of Bahadur Gilani in 1494, which was quelled by Sultan Muhammad II ( 1452 – 1515 ).

Firishta () or Ferishta, full name Muhammad Qasim Hindu Shah ( Persian: محمد قاسم ہندو شاه ), was born in 1560 and died in 1620 and he was a Persian historian.

The Iranian mathematician Muhammad Baqir Yazdi ( 16th century ) discovered the pair ( 9363584, 9437056 ), though this has often been attributed to Descartes.

If one has to name a famous boxer, they are more likely to name Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson, since their fame expanded beyond the sport itself.

This work clearly contradicts the New Testament biblical accounts of Jesus and his ministry but has strong parallels with the Islamic faith, not only mentioning Muhammad by name, but including the shahadah ( chapter 39 ).

John Esposito notes that " Modern Western scholarship has seriously questioned the historicity and authenticity of the hadith ", maintaining that " the bulk of traditions attributed to the Prophet Muhammad were actually written much later.

Human Rights Watch has cited a number of summary executions as particular examples of violations of the rules of warfare, including the case of Muhammad Swairki, 28, a cook for Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's presidential guard, who was thrown to his death, with his hands and legs tied, from a 15-story apartment building in Gaza City.

Hezbollah has a military branch known as Al-Muqawama al-Islamiyya (" The Islamic Resistance ") and is the possible sponsor of a number of lesser-known militant groups, some of which may be little more than fronts for Hezbollah itself, including the Organization of the Oppressed, the Revolutionary Justice Organization, the Organization of Right Against Wrong, and Followers of the Prophet Muhammad.

In Bahá ' í believe the Holy Spirit is the conduit through which the wisdom of God becomes directly associated with his messenger, and it has been described variously in different religions such as the burning bush to Moses, the sacred fire to Zoroaster, the dove to Jesus, the angel Gabriel to Muhammad, and the maid of heaven to Bahá ' u ' lláh.

Mohamed El-Moctar El-Shinqiti, a contemporary Mauritanian scholar, has argued that " though homosexuality is a grievous sin ... no legal punishment is stated in the Qur ' an for homosexuality ... it is not reported that Prophet Muhammad has punished somebody for committing homosexuality ... there is no authentic hadith reported from the Prophet prescribing a punishment for the homosexuals ..." Hadith scholars such as Al-Bukhari, Yahya ibn Ma ` in, An-Nasa ' i, Ibn Hazm, Al-Tirmidhi, and others have impugned them.

This is supported by evidence from the sayings of Muhammad where he mentions that " a hole has been made in the wall containing the Ya ' juj and Ma ' juj ", indicating the size of the hole with his thumb and index finger.

There are traditions in which Muhammad stated that " No one shall enter hell who has an atom of faith in his heart " or that " Hell will not welcome anyone who has in his heart an atom of faith " however these passages are interpreted in different ways.

Muhammad ’ s famous Night Journey, when the prophet travelled through the Heavens, has been seen by scholars as the obvious prophetic parallel to Jacob ’ s equally famous vision of Jacob's Ladder coming down from the Heavens.

It has also been reported that Muhammad considered performing hajj to be the best jihad for Muslim women.

The Mayor of Kabul Muhammad Yunus Nawandish has brought many municipal reform efforts by the U. S. Agency for International Development ’ s “ Kabul City Initiative ” project, the World Bank, Japanese Government JICA and other International Donors to build municipal capacity, improve service delivery and infrastructure, and increase municipal revenue for a cleaner and greener Kabul.

In 1559, the region fell to successive Arab tribes claiming descent from the Prophet Muhammad: first the Saadi Dynasty who ruled from 1554 to 1659 and then the Alaouites, who founded a dynasty that has remained in power since the 17th century.
