Feni is a small southestern districts of Bangladesh bordering ( clockwise from the north ) Tripura in, Chittagong district, the Bay of Bengal, Noakhali district and Comilla district.

Comilla is bordered by Brahmanbaria and Narayanganj districts to the north, Noakhali and Feni districts to the south, Tripura of India to the east, and Munshiganj and Chandpur districts to the west.

Noakhali District is located in Chittagong Division, Bangladesh.

In the declaration made from Kalurghat Betar Kendra ( Chittagong ) on 27 March 1971, Zia assumed the title of " provisional commander in chief of the Bangladesh Liberation Army ", though his area of operation remained confined to Chittagong and Noakhali areas.
