Since 2007, Smithfield has been the location of an annual event dedicated to bike racing known as Smithfield Nocturne.

Nocturne has since referred to Nightcrawler as her father.

Recently, Nocturne has had a stroke and the team is trying to help her recover.

Dark Marvel Girl, Juggernaut, and Dark Angel create a diversion, at the cost of the latter's life, to allow Dazzler, Dark Iceman, and Pete Wisdom to combine their powers and blind all of the Captains while Nocturne, who has left the hospital while possessing a Captain's body, evacuates the civilians.

John Field, who lived in the early Romantic Era has been credited with the creation of the Nocturne form, later developed by Frédéric Chopin.

The Timebroker has not appeared since, and oddly enough, the final team of Exiles, led by Blink and coordinated by Morph, Nocturne, and Heather, treat the Timebroker as the Timebreakers ' predecessor instead of interface.

DJ Dan has performed in music venues throughout North America and Europe as well as music festivals including Starscape, Nocturne, and Ultra.

During his time with the Exiles, he develops a romantic relationship with teammate Nocturne, who is pregnant with his child when he becomes comatose.

Although dangerous and unpopular, the bridge was the last surviving wooden bridge on the Thames in London, and was the subject of paintings by many significant artists such as J. M. W. Turner, John Sell Cotman and James McNeill Whistler, including Whistler's Nocturne: Blue and Gold – Old Battersea Bridge, and his controversial Nocturne in Black and Gold – The Falling Rocket.

During the House of M reality, Nocturne is sought by Callisto's Marauders for having royal Magnus blood ( because she is an alternate reality daughter of Scarlet Witch, a fact she doesn't remember due to her extradimensional origin which left her amnesiatic ), but is protected by Psylocke and Marvel Girl.

Marvel Girl allows Nocturne to possess her in order to keep her out of the Marauders ' reach, but Nocturne ends up taking control, and in a confused daze, flies away.

During her time with New Excalibur, Nocturne developed the ability to possess people without knocking them unconscious.

However her return to the Exiles is short, because after defeating Mad Jim Jaspers, Nocturne and Thunderbird leave to help their relationship grow and to help Nocturne more fully recover from her stroke.

During X-Men: The End, Aliyah Bishop saves her from Voge, and Nocturne aids the X-Men in the final battle with Cassandra Nova.

Among the most notable scenes added by Gorsky was a dream sequence set to a Nocturne by Chopin, in which the character Medora dreams of her beloved Conrad.
