She has also appeared on tribute albums to Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Bob Dylan, The Band, Tammy Wynette, Doc Pomus, Laura Nyro, Yoko Ono, John Hiatt and Jimi Hendrix.

When Ono first appeared in the historical record and was appointed envoy to Sui, his rank was listed as Greater Propriety ( 5th rank ), but he was later promoted to the top rank of Greater Virtue, largely due to his successful missions to the Sui court.

The couple separated in 1973 and the two began living separate lives, Ono pursuing her career in New York and Lennon living in Los Angeles with personal assistant May Pang in a period commonly referred to as his " lost weekend.

This failed to materialise, outside of all four Ladders ( plus Billy Preston ) performing on the Ringo Starr track " I'm the Greatest ", although Voormann did play on albums by Lennon, Harrison and Starr, and was for a time a member of the Plastic Ono Band.

At a Cannes Film Festival during the 1970s, Black joined George Harrison, Ringo Starr and popular music star Marc Bolan to attend a screening of the John Lennon-Yoko Ono experimental film Erection.

The Let It Be film features a segment in which Harrison plays the song for Ringo Starr, describing it as " a heavy waltz "; the band is then seen performing the tune while John Lennon dances with Yoko Ono.
