John Michael " Ozzy " Osbourne ( born 3 December 1948 ) is an English heavy metal vocalist and songwriter, whose musical career has spanned over 40 years.

Osbourne has achieved multi-platinum status as a solo artist and with Black Sabbath and has sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

Although called " John " by his first wife Thelma, Osbourne states that it has been a long time since he's recognised himself when called by his formal name .< ref name =" I Am Ozzy ">

Lennon has since appeared on Late Night with Conan O ' Brien and The Sharon Osbourne Show.
