While PA 42 continues north on Locust Avenue, PA 61 turns west onto Centre Street, passing two all-but-barren streets before quietly exiting Centralia.

Pennsylvania Route 42 ( PA 42 ) is a long state route located in central Pennsylvania.

Until 1999, Pennsylvania Route 54 was also present at the southern terminus of PA 42.

PA 143 crosses into Lynn Township, Lehigh County, continuing northeast to the community of Wanamakers as Kings Highway.
